Touri Takes Out Talbot and Baumann

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Parker Talbot
Parker Talbot

Parker Talbot shoved in early position and the dealer counted out his stack of 16,000 chips. Adil Touri made the call in the hijack before Gaelle Baumann also moved all in for just 500 chips more. Touri called and the hands were turned up.

Parker Talbot: 22
Gaelle Baumann: AQ
Adil Touri: AJ

Touri had the worst of it but jumped in front on the 4J6 flop. The 5 turn brought Baumann a flush draw, but the A river was no help.

Touri sent both Baumann and Talbot to the rail early on Day 2.

Zervos Finds the Right Time to Wake Up With Aces

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Sergey Lebedev moved all in for 15,000 under the gun and Samuel Polack reshoved for around 25,000 in the hijack. Action folded to Alexios Zervos in the big blind who took a peek at his cards and snap-called.

Sergey Lebedev: 55
Samuel Polack: 66
Alexios Zervos: AA

Zervos had both players crushed with his two aces and left them nearly drawing dead as the 79A further gave him top set. The board ran out 8Q and Zervos scored the double knockout.

Obreshkov Increases Stack Early on Day 2

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Picking up the action on the J97A turn, Michail Manolakis bet 6,500 in middle position. Stoyan Obreshkov called in the hijack and they headed to the 5 river. Manolakis now made it 14,500 to go and Obreshkov called instantly, then asked right away if Manolakis had ace-king.

The Greek shook his head and flashed the 98 for a pair of nines, which Obreshkov had beat holding the AQ.

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Ponakovs Beats Jaksland in Showdown

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Peter Jaksland has enjoyed a decent stack into Day 2 and increased his stack by more than half already. He then got involved in a hand with Aleksejs Ponakovs that was picked up on the K1053 turn. Jaksland checked and Ponakovs bet 11,000 on the button for the Dane to call.

Both knuckled the felt on the 2 river and Jaksland revealed his QJ for queen-high and a missed open-ended straight draw. Ponakovs had also missed the board but his AQ won the pot.

Julius Catches Anufriiev

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Kyle Julius in the hijack had three-bet Stanislav Anufriiev in early position. Anufriiev then made the call to create a pot of 25,000 chips.

Anufriiev checked to Julius on the 8K4 flop, after which Julius continued for 11,000. Anufriiev tanked for a while before making a small raise to 24,500.

Undeterred, Julius put his stack of 45,000 in the middle and Anufriiev, despite the good price, folded immediately, forfeiting the pot to Julius.
