Michaud was looking for an ace as the flop came 2♦6♠3♦. The turn was the K♥ and Frere improved to a set as Michaud began counting out the chips to pay off Frere while the dealer exposed the 3♣ river.
Fouad Rabahie moved all in for 160,000 under the gun, Jon Clark called for his last 140,000 in the hijack, and the rest of the table folded.

Clark was ahead until the 7♥3♣Q♠ flop gave Rabahie a pair of queens. The rest of the board came 7♦6♠ and Clark was sent to the rail.
Anton Wigg raised to 22,000 with the K♠Q♠ and Andreia-Elena Coman pushed all-in from the button for 128,000, Cesar Garcia called in the big blind with the 9♦9♣ and Wigg made it three ways with a flat call.
The two active players checked the J♥10♥2♠ flop and 3♣ turn, which led them to the 7♦ river.
It was checked again and Coman showed her A♦10♦ to triple up.
Two players were looking at a flop that read 3♣2♠4♦.
Tobias Peters, in the big blind, checked the action to Panagiotis Mavritsakis, in early position. Mavritsakis bet out 11,000 and Peters check-raised to 29,000. Mavritsakis called.
The Q♦ on the turn saw Peters move all in for 50,000. Mavritsakis snap-called.

This flop smashed both players giving Mavritsakis a set and Peters a straight. The river fell the A♦ and Peters' superior holding doubled him up.
Victor Briffard opened to 20,000 on the button and was called by Krasimir Nychev in the big blind.
Both players checked on the 10♥4♥Q♠ flop and then Nychev led out for 26,000 after the 4♣ fell on the turn. Briffard called.
The 8♣ completed the board and Nychev put 55,000 into the middle. Briffard placed a single chip into the middle to indicate a call and Nychev said, "You win," as he tabled K♦9♠.
Briffard turned over Q♥7♥ for queens-up and collected the pot.
Gregory Fournier and Wei Huang went to the river on a completed board of Q♥8♦K♥Q♠K♠ with around 100,000 in the pot when Fournier, in the big blind, put Huang all in.
Huang had around 130,000 remaining and burned through several time banks before calling. Fournier turned over 2♦2♥ and Huang showed J♠J♣.
"Wow, jack-high. That's the call of the year," tablemate Eric Afriat cried out as Huang doubled up.
"You're back my friend," Afriat told Huang.
"Back to starting stack," Huang joked.
"But not time banks," another tablemate added.
"I'll give you some of mine. I never use them," Afriat said.
Ami Barer raised to 21,000 in the hijack with K♣10♦ and Eliot Hudon defended the K♦7♣ to the 9♠8♠4♥ flop. They checked to the K♥ turn on which Hudon check-called for 35,000 and led the 2♣ river for 15,000.
Barer opted to raise it up to 71,000 and received a quick call to recover some chips.
Peter Jorgne bet 18,000 from the cutoff on a flop of 4♠3♠K♦ and David Kaufmann called in the big blind.
The turn was the 8♣ and Jorgne bet another 33,000. Kaufmann again called and both players checked down the 3♣ river. Jorgne then showed K♠Q♦ for two pair and Kaufmann mucked.
At the same time at another table, Francisco Perez bet 30,000 from the button on a board of 9♣Q♣K♦6♠ and Tobias Peters called in early position.
The river was the 4♣ and Perez bet 75,000. Peters snap-called, but Perez showed him K♥Q♥ for two pair and Peters mucked.
Rikiya Jinbo, in middle position, found himself all in and at risk for his last 71,000, against Levente Szabo, in the small blind.

Szabo's dominated hand remained that way to the river as the board ran out 8♦A♠K♦6♦9♣; Jinbo paired his ace on the flop to ensure his full double-up.
Ami Barer made it 23,000 to go with the J♥9♥ on the button for Byron Kaverman to call with the Q♦J♠. Both made second pair on the A♦J♣7♥ flop and Kaverman check-called for 16,000. On the J♦ turn, Barer checked back with the inferior trips and that brought them to the 2♥ river.
Kaverman overbet 150,000 into 93,000 and Barer snap-called to see the bad news.
