Barer Applies Pressure on Garcia

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Ami Barer three-bet to 48,000 with the AQ from an early position and Cesar Garcia called from under the gun with the JJ. On the A108 flop, Garcia check-called for 30,000 and the 6 turn was checked.

Garcia also checked the 10 on the river and Barer now fired a bet of 300,000, which had his table neighbour covered. No call by the Spaniard followed and Barer jumped closer to seven figures.

Wigg Finds a River Fold Against Coman

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Ami Barer opened to 21,000 with A8 from an early position, Anton Wigg called on the button with QJ and Andreia-Elena Coman came along with K5 out of the big blind. The initial raiser bet 18,000 and received two calls.

Coman then led the 4 turn for 75,000 to force out Barer and Wigg called. She then improved on the K river and Coman fired a bet of 120,000 with 155,000 behind. Wigg used one time bank and sent the cards into the muck.

Fernandez Alonso Left With Fumes

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

The hijack raised to 20,000, Javier Fernandez Alonso moved all in for approximately 220,000 from the cutoff and Linus Hjulstroem cold-called the bet for his remaining 203,000 from the button. The original raiser folded.

Linus Hjulstroem: AA
Javier Fernandez Alonso: 1010

Fernandez Alonso ran into aces and the AK8 flop had him drawing slim. The 10 turn gave him one out to quads, but the J river stifled those chances. Once the dust settled, Fernandez Alonso was left with around 15,000 chips and busted soon after.

Bradley Targets Pavlov While Custodio Doubles

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Daniel Custodio limped in from early position, leaving himself 5,000 behind, and Atanas Pavlov raised to 37,000 on the button. Ian Bradley three-bet to 90,000 in the small blind and Pavlov folded before Custodio could act. The floor had to be called over and Custodio eventually put in his last chips, while Pavlov's fold stood.

Daniel Custodio: K5
Ian Bradley: 96

Pavlov expressed surprise when Bradley turned over his hand, "You made it too big. You made me some money," Bradley told him as the board ran out 72K45 to give Custodio a double up with a pair of kings.

"I never expected that," Pavlov said after the hand.

Dzhura Gets a Hand to Remember

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Yevhen Dzhura was in middle position and moved all in for 210,000 as big stack Jorge Ramella put him at risk from the small blind.

Yevhen Dzhura: KK
Jorge Ramella: AA

Dzhura smacked the table in frustration upon seeing Ramella's aces and watched helplessly as the 9462 board brought him closer to elimination. The river, though, was the K and Dzhura spiked a two-outer to win the pot and double up.

"You won't forget that hand for a while," tablemate Leo Worthington-Lesse said.

Barer and Kaverman Clash Again

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Ami Barer
Ami Barer

Ami Barer continued his preflop aggression with a button raise to 23,000 holding the J8 and Byron Kaverman defended QJ from the big blind.

On a 932 flop, Kaverman check-raised from 12,000 to 36,000 with his overcards and Barer flat-called with the flush. The 10 turn gave Kaverman an open-ended straight draw and he checked. This time, Barer checked back and the 8 river gave Kaverman a worthless queen-high straight.

Kaverman bet only 45,000 into 133,000 and Barer then bumped it up to 201,000. The reluctant call by Kaverman followed and Barer more than made up for losing the previous big pot to the High Roller regular.

Zervos Gets Value From Lipp

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Matthias Lipp opened to 20,000 from middle position and was three-bet to 85,000 by Alexios Zervos in the small blind. Lipp called.

Lipp called a 55,000 bet from Zervos on the 225 flop and the both players checked on the 8 turn.

The 2 completed the board and Zervos put a paltry 28,000 into the middle. Lipp looked him up and Zervos revealed 98 for deuces-full of eights. Lipp couldn't beat it and mucked — awarding the pot to Zervos.
