Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Ian Bradley
Ian Bradley

Catalin Moraru moved all in for 46,000 under the gun and Diego Montone reraised to 80,000 in early position. Ian Bradley then reraised to 200,000 in the cutoff, Montone moved all in for 592,000, and Bradley called.

Catalin Moraru: 97
Diego Montone: AK
Ian Bradley: AK

Both Montone and Bradley showed down ace-king as the flop came J46. The 4 turn left Moraru one card away from elimination, but he spiked the 7 on the river to triple up while Montone and Bradley chopped up the more than 1,000,000 side pot.

"You're crazy, man," Bradley told Montone after the hand.

"We're all crazy," Montone replied.

Tkatschew Flips With Verhagen

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Alexander Tkatschew raised to 16,000 from the hijack, Johannes Verhagen moved all in for 165,000 from the big blind and Tkatschew went into the tank. After receiving an exact count and burning through a time bank, Tkatschew made the call.

Johannes Verhagen: AQ
Alexander Tkatschew: 77

This flip fell in the favor of Verhagen as the flop landed AAK, giving him trips. The 8 turn and 9 river changed nothing and Verhagen doubled up.

Kostadinov Wins a Monster Off Rutherford

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

At Peter Jorgne's and Barny Boatman's table, Timothy Rutherford bet 60,000 on a board of A73Q and Alexander Tkatschew called under the gun, as did Kostadin Kostadinov in early position.

The river was the 2 and Kostadinov bet 225,000. Rutherford then moved all in, Tkatschew folded, while Kostadinov snap-called for 441,000.

Rutherford turned over 33 for a set, but Kostadinov had 77 for a higher set to earn the massive double up. He looked up to the ceiling and let out a deep sigh of relief as the enormous pile of chips was pushed in his direction that moved him up into contention for the chip lead.

Jorgne Hits Not One, But Two Aces to Finish Off Rutherford

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Timothy Rutherford
Timothy Rutherford

Soon after losing the massive pot to Kostadin Kostadinov, Timothy Rutherford opened to 16,000 in middle position and Peter Jorgne three-bet to 40,000 in the hijack. Rutherford then moved all in for 372,000 and Jorgne used a time bank before calling.

Timothy Rutherford: KK
Peter Jorgne: AK

Jorgne found an ace on the 3JA flop to take the lead, while the board ran out 8A to improve him to trips and send Rutherford to the rail.

"Sorry man," he told Rutherford.

"No worries bro," Rutherford replied as he came by to give Jorgne a fist bump before making his way to the exit.

Barer Folds Correctly Against Kaverman

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Byron Kaverman
Byron Kaverman

Byron Kaverman made it 18,000 to go from an early position with the AA and Ami Barer defended KQ in the big blind. Barer check-called for 16,000 on the KJ3 flop and checked again the 3 on the turn.

Kaverman now bet 50,000 for Barer to come along and checked the 10 on the river. The third barrel of Kaverman was for 130,000 and it was clearly visible that Barer didn't like the final bet, as he went through the emotions and even took off the hoodie around his neck.

Four time banks vanished while Kaverman stared at the board and Barer then folded.

After the hand was completed, EPT Main Event champion Anton Wigg arrived with a big stack.
