Keating Loses a Big One to Zaks

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Alex Keating
Alex Keating

The pot stood at approximately 200,000 with two players looking at a full board of 7Q72Q.

Kostya Zaks, in the hijack, bet out 100,000. Alex Keating thought for some time, clearly frustrated by the decision he faced.

After some time in the tank, Keating slid a stack of blues into the Zaks' stack as if they were a gift, also signifying a call. Zaks tabled JJ, which was good enough to win this pot.

Dodd Spikes the River to Stun Sturm

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Leon Sturm raised to 16,000 in middle position before Owen Dodd three-bet to 45,000 in the hijack. Sturm called and they went heads-up to the 8K6 flop.

Dodd continued for 30,000 and Sturm raised to 65,000. Dodd called and the 3 fell on the turn.

Sturm checked over to Dodd who bet 80,000. Sturm then moved all in and Dodd tanked for a minute before calling for his last 143,000.

Sturm showed KQ for a pair of kings, while Dodd was on a flush draw holding AJ. The 4 river completed Dodd's flush and he let out a fist pump and snapped a photo of the board before accepting his double up.

At the same table, Florian Duta has around 970,000 sitting under his porcelain giraffe figurine. Tobias Peters is also at this table with around 410,000 stacked up in his usual symmetrical pattern.

Kaverman and Hudon Love to Battle

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Byron Kaverman lost a small showdown pot to Eliot Hudon when a missed open-ender was called by second pair.

Soon after, they tangled again when Hudon raised to 16,000 with the K10 and Kaverman defended the 54 in the big blind. Kaverman checked for Hudon to bet 30,000 but Kaverman was having none of it, as he check-raised to 95,000 to earn back the previous losses.

Ramella Collects With Cowboys

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Three ways on a flop of 109J, Younes Hammouchi checked from the big blind and Jorge Ramella bet 23,000 from the hijack. Gianluca Speranza called on the button and Hammouchi then check-raised to 61,000. Both Ramella and Speranza called.

Hammouchi continued for 73,000 on the 10 turn and only Ramella called.

Both players checked down on the 2 river and Hammouchi tabled J7 for jacks-up. Ramella turned over KK for a better two pair and collected the sizable pot.

Two more high roller events have taken place at EPT Paris, and some familiar faces have left the star-studded fields in their wake once again.

Teun Mulder picked up his first live PokerStars win of the year while Daniel Dvoress claimed his second title of the series, just days after prevailing in €25,000 NL Hold'em.

Also among the latest winners in the French capital is 2017 Irish Open champion Griffin Benger. The Canadian sprinted to first place in last night's €1,050 NLHE Hyper Turbo.

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Ami Barer opened to 21,000 with the Q8 in the cutoff and Anton Wigg defended 97 out of the big blind. Both players had something on the A109 flop and Wigg check-called for 30,000. The J turn gave Barer the straight and a flush draw.

Wigg checked, Barer bet 38,000 and took it down without any further resistance.

Sturm Collects the Rest of Selles' Chips

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Yoel Selles shoved for his last 41,000 from the cutoff and Leon Sturm called on the button to put Selles at risk. Everyone else folded and hands were revealed.

Yoel Selles: A8
Leon Sturm: A10

Sturm had Selles dominated, and the 65K9K runout kept him best with his ten kicker to eliminate Selles.
