Big Stacks Abound at Table #7

Alexios Zervos, David Kaufmann, and Matthias Lipp, who all found themselves in the top five on the chip leaderboard at the start of the day, are sharing a table here on Day 3, but only Zervos played a role in the latest hand.

With around 100,000 in the pot on a flop of 9JJ, Zervos bet 23,000 from the button and Antoine Camors called in the hijack. Both players then checked the 6 turn.

The river was the 4 and Zervos bet 200,000, enough to put Camors all in. Camors eventually folded and Zervos added more to his stack.

EPT champion Robin Ylitalo is also seated at this stacked table.

Karmatckii check-called a 16,000 bet from Benzerfa on the 3109 flop and a 44,000 bet from Benzerfa on the K turn.

The 3 completed the board and Karmatckii checked a final time — prompting an 88,000 bet from Benzerfa. Kamatckii went deep into the tank and used up a time extension before sliding his hand into the muck.

David Tous Rosich made it 12,000 to go from an early position with the K10, picking up a single caller by Liangce Ni in the small blind with the KQ. The 1087 flop was checked and the 5 turn gave both players a flush draw.

Ni checked again and Tous Rosich bet 15,000 for Ni to check-raise, as he bumped it up to 47,000. Tous Rosich didn't go anywhere with top pair and the king-high flush draw, then improved to trips with the 10 river.

Ni bluff-shoved the river for 115,000 and Tous Rosich called with the superior stack to score the knockout.

Gonzalo Almeida raised with the KQ and Alexander van der Swaluw called on the button with the 5 showing, as did Liangce Ni in the big blind with 96. They checked the K95 flop to Almeida, who bet 15,000 and received two calls.

The J turn was then checked to van der Swaluw, who bet 30,000. Ni folded whereas Almeida stuck around to the 10 river. Almeida opted for a bet worth 40,000 with the king-high flush and van der Swaluw folded.

The 108J flop checked through to the J on the turn. Frere took the lead for 15,000 and Michaud called.

The 8 river saw Frere size up to 45,000 and Michaud chose to toss his cards into the muck.
