France is poker crazy and has produced some of the biggest names in the industry, such as Bertrand Grospellier and Antoine Saout, so it has been quite the surprise to see the "tricolore" omitted from the PokerStars Team Pro roster over the last few years.

However, at the 2024 European Poker Tour stop in Paris, PokerStars' search for the face for their French expansion finally ended with the latest addition to the team.

Tsai Wins Four-Bet Pot Off Middleton; Camarda Folds Jacks

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Salvatore Camarda had been bleeding chips to drop to a mere ten big blinds and then raised to 14,000 with the JJ in the hijack. Tom Middleton three-bet to 45,000 in the small blind with QQ and Eric Tsai four-bet to 90,000 with the AK in the big blind while eating an apple.

Camarda tank-folded the inferior pair while Middleton called to see a flop of A92. Middleton checked and then instantly folded when Tsai bet 40,000.

Jattin Continues to Chip Up

Level 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

The pot stood at 35,000 with two players looking at a board delt to the turn as it read 6AQ5.

Farid Jattin bet out for 12,000 from early position and Barakeh Fadi made the call from the hijack.

The 4 river checked to a showdown. Jattin tabled Q10 for second pair; good enough to see Fadi muck his cards in a snap.

Glogar needed an ace to survive but none arrived on the 2K784 board as Danchev sent him to the rail. "With your stack, you could open wide," Glogar said to Danchev as he headed for the payout desk.

Pavlov Gets Value From Anand

Level 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Atanas Pavlov opened to 12,000 from under the gun and was three-bet to 25,000 by Jason Anand on the button. Action folded back to Pavlov, who called.

Pavlov check-called a 23,000 bet from Anand on the 62A flop and both players checked on the 7 turn.

The 8 completed the board and Pavlov announced a bet of 70,000. Anand decided to look him up and Pavlov tabled AQ for a pair of aces.

"Nice hand," Anand said as he mucked — conceding the pot to Pavlov.

Raman Dziamyanik raised to 12,000 in the hijack before Sahil Chuttani three-bet to 42,000 in the small blind. Pierre Calamusa then four-bet to 80,000 in the big blind. Dziamyanik folded, but Chuttani moved all in and Calamusa called for 195,000.

Pierre Calamusa: AK
Sahil Chuttani: A10

Calamusa had Chuttani dominated and improved to top pair on the K65 flop. The Q on the turn gave Chuttani a straight draw. "No," Calamusa cried out, but he dodged the Q river to double up.

At the same time at another table, Mathias Siljander was all in for 192,000 from early position against Romeric Redjdal in the big blind.

Mathias Siljander: QQ
Romeric Redjdal: AK

Siljander put a near-lock on the hand as the Q66 flop gave him a full house. The board ran out 59 and he doubled up.

Thomas Saminadin: 75
Julien Groenendijk: 66
