Mavritsakis Makes the Right Call

Panagiotis Marvritsakis opened to 27,000 from early position and was called by Fouad Rabahie in the cutoff and Raoul Van Wersch in the big blind.

Van Wersch checked to Marvritsakis on the Q59 flop and he continued for 28,000. Rabahie folded and Van Wersch called.

Both players checked on the 9 turn and then Van Wersch led out for 32,000 after the Q fell on the river.

Marvritsakis decided to look him up and Van Wersch tabled 67 for a busted straight draw. Marvritsakis turned over KJ for a king to go along with the two pair on the board and he was sent the pot.

Picone Remains Active on Feature Table

Younes Hammouchi opened to 27,000 with the 108 for Matthias Lipp to defend his A3 in the big blind.

On a K33 flop, Lipp check-raised from 18,000 to 80,000 and Hammouchi quickly folded.

Igor Picone made it 25,000 to go one hand later with the A7 first to act. Atanas Pavlov three-bet to 72,000 in the next seat with KJ and got through the entire table, Picone also folded.

Peter Jorgne limped the small blind next with A4 and Picone raised to 42,000 with the Q8. The call by Jorgne led to the J105 flop, which he opted to check. Picone bet 32,000 and took it down.

Kaverman Wakes Up With Kings to Cross a Million

Christos Argyriadis then moved all in for 263,000 on the button and Byron Kaverman asked for a count and tanked for a few moments before calling in the small blind. Hudon and Danchev both folded.

Kaverman had picked up kings and was a favorite to score the knockout as the board came 576Q5. Argyriadis couldn't improve beyond his turned pair of queens and was sent to the rail, while Kaverman, who needed to spike a three-outer to double up earlier in this level, moved up past 1,000,000.

Olofsson Snap-Jams the Flop

Stefan Olofsson limped in from the small blind, Alessandro Minasi three-bet to 52,000 from the big blind and Olofsson called.

Olofsson checked at the sight of the JQ8 flop. Minasi bet out 34,000 and Olofsson beat him into the pot, moving all in for approximately 300,000.

Minasi thought for some time before folding the Q face up. Olofsson claimed the pot as he flashed the Q.

Picone On a Roll for Now

Igor Picone got another two preflop three-bets through after his double-up and then opened to 30,000 with the A3. Younes Hammouchi called with the QJ on the button but folded on the K53 flop when Picone bet 25,000.

It was the fourth pot in a row for Picone, who jumped to seven figures.

The board came AK310 and Perez picked up a straight draw heading to the river, needing one of the last two remaining queens in the deck. "A queen is coming," he said, but the dealer instead turned over the 3 and Dodd doubled up.

Peter Jaksland opened to 25,000 from under the gun and was called by Lorenzo Arduini from middle position for a heads-up pot.

Arduini called a 26,000 bet from Jaksland on the 9108 flop and a 52,000 bet from Jaksland on the 6 turn.

The 8 completed the board and Jaksland slowed down and checked. Arduini thought a bit and decided to check behind, prompting Jaksland to table A8 for rivered trips. Arduini couldn't beat it and mucked — conceding the pot to Jaksland.

Romain Lewis made it 25,000 to go with the AQ from an early position and Igor Picone three-bet big to 90,000 out of the small blind with QJ. It folded back to Lewis, who pondered about it for a short while and called.

Picone made the top two pair on the QJ9 flop and continued for 60,000, Lewis called. The 2 turn was checked by Picone and Lewis bet 100,000 to now send Picone into the think tank. One time bank later, the Belgian jammed for 291,000 and Lewis shrugged before calling.

The 4 river was a blank and Lewis saw his stack reduced to fumes.

Boulad Leaves Parys Short

The pot stood at approximately 80,000 with the board reading A6J5.

Maxime Parys, in the big blind, checked the action to Jean-Pierre Boulad, on the button. Boulad bet out 40,000 and Parys check-raised to 105,000. Boulad called.

The 7 river saw Parys bet out 191,000, an effective all-in with just 15,000 behind. Boulad made the call. Parys tabled K8 for king-high with a blocker to the nut flush, while Boulad earned this pot with a flopped set holding 66.
