Hudon Gets Some Chips Back

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Jose Plaza min-raised the K5 out of the small blind and Eliot Hudon defended the 84. The Q44 flop gave Hudon trips and he bet-called a raise by Hudon from 25,000 to 75,000. Plaza called but check-folded the 10 turn when Hudon made it 160,000 to go despite using one time bank to think about it.

Mathias Sijander raised to 50,000 in the cutoff before Matthias Lipp three-bet to 400,000 in the small blind, leaving himself 50,000 behind. Derk van Luijk called in the big blind, while Siljander folded.

"You just call, right," Lipp asked as the flop came 3J6. Lipp checked to Van Luijk who then moved all in. Lipp called off his last chips.

Matthias Lipp: A9
Derk van Luijk: KK

Van Luijk was ahead with his kings and Lipp couldn't catch up on the 8 turn or 3 river to hit the rail.

"I didn't think I had him covered," Van Luijk explained as Lipp headed off to collect his payout.
