Barer then check-called Arduini's 35,000 bet on the K♠3♣4♦ flop and did so too for the 125,000 bet on the 9♠ turn.

The 3♠ river was then checked by both players and Barer showed 9♣8♠ for a a pair of nines. Arduini played one better with his 10♥10♦ for a pair of tens and took down the pot.

Lorenzo Arduini raised to 55,000 in the cutoff before Terry Vlastos three-bet to 135,000 on the button. David Tous, in the big blind, then four-bet to 325,000.

Arduini used up three time banks before announcing a five-bet to 575,000. Vlastos immediately looked up at the ceiling and let out a deep sigh as he used two of his time cards, eventually deciding to fold. Tous snap-folded and Arduini took the pot.

Anton Wigg opened to 50,000 with K♠J♠ in an early position, earning a single caller in Omar Lakhdari out of the big blind who held the A♦7♠. On the A♣K♦8♦ flop, Lakhdari checked and subsequently called for 45,000 before they checked the 2♦ turn.

Neither player improved on the 10♥ river and Lakhdari bet 75,000. Wigg had other plans and raised 280,000. Lakhdari instantly reraised to a smooth 1,000,000 for Wigg to snap-fold.

Ufano check-called a bet of 90,000 on the A♥7♦9♥ flop before both players checked through the remaining runout of 9♦4♣.

Ufano showed down 10♠10♣, but it was no good against the J♠J♣ of Kaufmann, who was awarded the pot.

Hudon hit top set on the 9♦5♠K♣ flop, and Plaza was already drawing dead following the 4♠ turn as he went around the table exchanging fist bumps with his tablemates while the dealer exposed the 8♥ river.

At the same time at another table, Aleksejs Ponakovs bet 90,000 on a board of 2♦K♦J♥K♣ and Linus Hjulstroem called in the cutoff. The river was the 2♠ and Ponakovs, on the button, moved all in.

Hjulstroem had 220,000 remaining and burned through several time banks before calling. Ponakovs then showed A♥J♣ for two pair and Hjulstroem instantly mucked his cards on his way to the exit.

Lorenzo Arduini opened to 55,000 from under the gun and Ami Barer called from the hijack. Action folded to Levente Szabo in the big blind, who moved all in for 425,000. Arduini asked for a count and called to put the action on Barer. The Canadian, who started with 1,415,000, back-raised to 825,000 and snap-called for his tournament life after Arduini jammed in his covering stack.

Barer was the favorite to drag in the huge pot and remained so after the Q♠8♣2♠ flop. Szabo had outs to trips and two pair, while Arduini would need to find running cards to seal the checkmark. The 4♣ turn brought in a big sweat as Arduini picked up a flush draw but the 10♦ river was a brick, ensuring the spoils for Barer.
