Ace on the Turn Proves Costly For Jorgne as Arduini Doubles

Lorenzo Arduini raised to 300,000 in early position and Peter Jorgne defended his big blind.

The flop came J♠10♣2♣ and Arduini continued for 275,000. Jorgne called.

The A♥ fell on the turn and Arduini bet another 850,000. Jorgne again called to see the 2♠ fall on the river.

Arduini then moved all in for 2,250,000 and Jorgne burned a time bank before sliding in the chips to call. Arduini showed A♠J♥ for two pair and Jorgne mucked A♣8♥ for an inferior two pair, sending the pot and double up over to Arduini

Ponakovs Gets Paid in Full

Aleksejs Ponakovs raised to 300,000 from the cutoff with A♥6♥ and Lorenzo Arduini defended K♥10♥ in the big blind. Ponakovs flopped a full house on 6♠A♣A♠ and made a bet of 150,000.

Arduini check-called and the turn saw the 10♣ arrive. Arduini checked once more and was faced with a 700,000 bet from Ponakovs. Having been upgraded to two pair, Arduini made the call and the J♦ river completed the board.

A third check followed from Arduini, after which Ponakovs put 1,700,000 chips in the middle. Arduini used three time bank extensions but eventually stuck in the call.

He saw the bad news at showdown and paid his dues to the Latvian high roller, who soared up the leaderboard as a result.

Boatman Forces Folds

David Kaufmann raised to 300,000 from middle position with A♣6♣ and the action folded to Barny Boatman on the button, who made it 875,000 to go with 7♥5♥.

The blinds got out of the way and Kaufmann folded quickly as well, granting the pot to Boatman.

The very next hand, Aleksejs Ponakovs was the one in middle position and raised to 300,000 with K♦6♦. It once again folded to Boatman, who this time opted for a sizing of 750,000 with A♥9♥.

Another fold followed, seeing the British poker legend chip up through his preflop aggression.

Afriat Doubles Up, Chip and a Chair for Hansen

Eric Afriat jammed all in from the cutoff for 1,175,000 chips and Sindre Hansen made the call on the button, playing just 25,000 chips more.

The flop fell 4♦J♥2♥, hitting Afriat with top set. Hansen's runner-runner opportunities did not come in on the Q♥ turn and the meaningless 8♦ river finished the board.

Afriat doubled up while Hansen was left with a quarter of a small blind to try and spin up on the final table of the Main Event.

A hand after Eric Afriat's double up, Lorenzo Arduini raised to 300,000 in early position and Sindre Hansen tossed in his last 25,000 chip.

"Good luck," Barny Boatman told him.

"Now you wish me luck," Hansen replied.

"I wished you luck before if you were listening," Boatman added.

Peter Jorgne also called in the big blind as he and Arduini saw a flop of 9♥8♠3♥. Arduini then bet 300,000 and Jorgne called.

Both players checked the 10♠ turn and the 3♣ fell on the river. Arduini then bet 1,200,000 and Jorgne again called.

Arduini showed K♠K♣ and Jorgne mucked 2♠2♣. Hansen had picked up Q♥Q♣ but it wasn't enough to avoid being sent to the rail in ninth place.

Ponakovs Sees Through Boatman

Eric Afriat raised to 325,000 from the hijack with Q♠J♠ and Aleksejs Ponakovs made the call on the button A♦5♦. Barny Boatman also came along with 10♦9♥ in the big blind and the dealer spread a flop of 7♥6♣4♣.

The action checked to Ponakovs, who slid in a bet of 350,000. Boatman called with his gutshot before Afriat got out of the way.

The turn was the J♦ and saw Boatman lead out for 675,000. Ponakovs was a non-believer and made a to 2,100,000, forcing Boatman to get rid of his hand.

On the first hand back from break, Peter Jorgne moved all in for 2,900,000 from the button with K♠J♥ and both blinds quickly folded.

Lorenzo Arduini then moved all in from the small blind with A♦J♠ and Ami Barer folded K♠4♣ for his last 1,880,000 in the big blind.

Two hands later, action folded to Barer on the button who pushed his last 1,775,000 in the middle holding K♥10♥ and found no takers from the blinds.

Barny Boatman raised to 400,000 from middle position with A♠Q♥ and David Kaufmann called from the big blind with 8♠7♠. Both players checked on the 9♥6♣7♣ flop before the A♦ fell on the turn.

Kaufmann checked and called the subsequent 400,000 bet that Boatman put out. On the 2♠ river, Kaufmann checked again and this time faced a 750,000-chip bet from Boatman.

Kaufman flicked in a call, but mucked his cards when Boatman showed his top pair.
