Hansen Forces Fold

Level 29 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Sindre Hansen made a raise to 100,000 under the gun and the action folded to Peter Jorgne in the big blind, who made the call.

Jorgne checked on the 7A3 flop and called the subsequent 150,000 that Hansen put out.

The 4 turn was then checked by both players before Hansen bet 450,000 on the Q river after Jorgne had checked. Jorgne quickly let his hand go and surrendered the pot to his opponent.

Arduini Rivers a Straight

Level 29 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Aleksejs Ponakovs opened to 200,000 from the button with 106 and Lorenzo Arduini defended the big blind with QJ.

Both players missed the AK3 flop but Arduini had outs to Broadway, and he check-called for 115,000 before the A turn checked through to the 10 river.

Arduini bet 175,000 with his straight and Ponakovs paid him off after using up a time bank.

Barer Counterfeits Hansen; Hansen Then Rivers Afriat

Level 29 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

In a limped pot between the blinds, Sindre Hansen led out for 100,000 on a flop of KJA and Ami Barer called.

The turn was the 2 and Hansen bet 325,000. Barer again called and the K fell on the river. Both players then checked and Hansen showed A2.

"Hey," Barer cried out as he turned over A4, discovering that Hansen's two pair had been counterfeited on the river and they chopped the pot.

The next hand, Hansen raised to 225,000 on the button and Eric Afriat called in the big blind.

The flop came A57 and Hansen continued for 150,000. Afriat called and the 3 turn was checked.

Afriat led out for 130,000 on the J river and Hansen called. Afriat showed Q7 for a pair of sevens, but Hansen had J9 for a rivered pair of jacks to win the pot.

"Ugly. Why would you do that?" Afriat said.

Jorgne Takes It on the River

Level 29 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Ami Barer raised to 210,000 from the cutoff and got blinds Barny Boatman and Peter Jorgne to come along with him.

All three players then checked through the J98 flop before Boatman checked again on the 6 turn. Jorgne fired 400,000 chips and Barer made the call, while Boatman quickly folded.

Jorgne then sized up to 1,100,000 on the 4 river, and this was enough to make Barer lay down his hand as well.

Barer Not Buying Hansen's Flop Lead; Jorgne Three-Bets Boatman as Table is Put on the Clock

Level 29 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Ami Barer raised to 210,000 under the gun and Sindre Hansen called in the big blind.

Hansen led out for 160,000 on the 1047 flop and Barer raised to 775,000. Hansen quickly folded.

The next hand, Barny Boatman raised to 200,000 in the cutoff, Peter Jorgne three-bet to 650,000 on the button, and Boatman called.

The flop came Q72 and Boatman snap-folded once Jorgne continued for 575,000.

A tournament official came to the table to warn them that they were significantly behind the pace of the feature table and that the other table would wait for them to play a few more hands before continuing. "What's the point of having these, then," Boatman said as he picked up his time banks.

Level 29 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Peter Jorgne raised to 200,000 as first to act and Ami Barer flat-called on the button. Barny Boatman also came along in the big blind, and the trio saw a flop of 5108.

Boatman led out for 200,000, which caused Jorgne to fold. Barer, however, was having none of it and raised to 850,000.

Botman quickly let his hand go and Barer chipped up further.

Barer Calls Down Jorgne, Takes Another From Hansen

Level 29 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Ami Barer raised to 200,000 in the cutoff and Peter Jorgne defended his big blind.

Both players checked the 7102 flop and Jorgne led out for 375,000 on the 3 turn. Barer called and the A fell on the river.

Jorgne then bet 400,000. Barer took off the sweater he keeps wrapped around his neck and leaned over the table for a few moments before calling. Jorgne showed 88, but Barer had Q10 for a pair of tens to win the pot.

A few hands later, action folded to Sindre Hansen who raised to 350,000 in the small blind. Barer called and they went heads-up to the K610 flop.

Hansen bet 200,000 and Barer called. The 10 turn was checked through to the 9 river where Hansen checked again. Barer then bet 525,000 and Hansen folded.
