PokerStars Introduces Jason Koon, Caitlin Comeskey as Newest Ambassadors

PokerStars revealed two new brand ambassadors at Resorts World Las Vegas last month, both with impeccable reputations within the poker community — Caitlin Comeskey and Jason Koon.

The newest Team Pro members for the most prominent brand in online poker history come from different backgrounds and have different roles within the industry. Koon is a high-stakes legend, arguably the top tournament player in the world. Comeskey is a low-stakes player known for her comedic light-hearted poker player parody videos. She captured the Best Short-Form Content Creator award at the 2023 Global Poker Awards.

In a blind versus blind situation, Stanislav Tishkevich in the big blind bet 1,500 on the 2♠9♣7♠ flop and Steve O'Dwyer in the small blind check-called.

Both players checked the 8♣ turn leading to the 6♠ river where O'Dwyer checked.

Tishkevich bet 4,000 with 7♥6♥ for two pair, but saw O'Dwyer call with A♣5♦ for a straight.

Segebrecht Doubles With Aces

Following an open-raise to 2,100 from middle position, Luka Sorainen called in the next seat, the button called, then Claas Segebrecht moved all in from the small blind for 20,800. Sorainen was the only player to make the call and had the covering stack as players flipped their cards.

The board ran out 6♥7♦9♣2♣K♠ and Segebrecht held with his pocket aces to win the pot, doubling up his stack.

Sorainen fired another bet of 12,500 when the 5♣ fell on the river and was quickly called by Brandstrom.

Sorainen tabled K♣Q♣ and this pot took his chip count to 100,000.

Vahe Martirosyan raised from the hijack, Candido Cappiello three-bet to 6,500 from the button, then Vahe Martirosyan moved all in with a short stack. Cappiello snap-called and the cards were on their backs, with Martirosyan at risk.

The dealer fanned a flop of 3♣10♠Q♠ and Brouk quickly bet 80,000, almost his entire stack. Amsellem looked at his cards and seemed to have a good hand, but not good enough to call.

Action was on the flop on a board of 8♥5♠5♣ with 7,500 in the pot. Emil Mattsson checked from the big blind, Koyes Miah bet 2,500 and Mattsson check-raised to 8,500. Miah then reraised to 17,000 and Mattsson four-bet to 36,000.

"I guess my eight is no good anymore," said Miah as he folded his hand and showed the 8♦.
