€2,200 EPT Mixed Game Main Event

Day 1 Completed

Georgina James Enjoys Fruitful Day 1 as Mixed Game Main Event Gets Underway

Day 1 of the European Poker Tour (EPT) Prague €2,200 Mixed Game Main Event was short but sweet — just six levels in total before the 40 survivors bagged ahead of Day 2.

Leading the way is Norway's Thomas Berg, helped by a bizarre double through Frank Visser midway through the evening. He raised pot blind in a Pot-Limit Omaha hand, with the pair getting most of their chips in preflop. On a queen-high board, Visser shoved, only to be called by Berg who had, in fact, woken up with aces.

Also with a big stack is PokerStars Ambassador Georgina James. A huge supporter of mixed games, especially in the run-up to this event, she was excited to participate in the very first Mixed Game Main Event.

"There were so many familiar faces in the field today," said James. "It was a really great turnout. And it was just a great atmosphere and everyone was very friendly. Just a good day all round.

"Double starting stack to end the day — what's not to like! Looking forward to Day 2 already."
