Iwanov-Petkin Fires All Three Streets, Folds to Garp's River Shove

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Tobias Garp
Tobias Garp

Tobias Garp made it 500 to go preflop from the cutoff and Josef Schusteritsch called in the small blind. Dimitar Iwanov-Petkin bumped it up to 2,200 from the big blind, which only Garp called.

The two saw a flop of 228 where Iwanov-Petkin continued with a bet of 1,800, and Garp called.

A 9 on the turn saw Iwanov-Petkin bet again, this time for 2,800. Garp called.

When the J landed on the river, Iwanov-Petkin unloaded his third bullet into the pot of 5,000, and Garp moved all-in. Iwanov-Petkin had 15,000 behind and needed to put them all at risk if he wanted to proceed to a showdown, however, after some time thinking, he folded and showed the A as he did so.

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Jon Kyte

Ferenc Vardai opened to 500 from the cutoff, but Abraham Uittenbogaard on the button three-bet to 1,200. Last year's runner-up Jon Kyte in the big blind four-bet to 4,400, making Vardai fold. Uittenbogaard however made the call.

Both players checked the 769 flop leading to the 2 turn where Kyte bet 5,400. Uittenbogaard called, but found himself in a tough spot after Kyte bet 25,000 on the A river. He counted his stack and said "Hero-call" while pushing his 16,000-chip stack forward.

Uittenbogaard called with a flush, but ran into Kyte's nut-flush and he was eliminated.

Scutaru Pushes Two Out

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

With exactly 2,000 chips in the middle on a flop of AJ7, Razvan Scutaru fired 500 from under the gun and Volodymyr Pashchetnyk called in the hijack. Dimitar Iwanov-Petkin also called on the button.

A K dropped on the turn, which didn't slow Scutaru down as he made a bet of 1,600. Pashchetnyk quickly got out of the way, and after some time thinking Iwanov-Petkin also folded.

Hutchinson Put in a Tough Spot

Level 1 : Blinds 100/100, 100 ante

A pot of around 8,000 had already brewed between Daniel De Sousa Custodio on the button and Dean Hutchinson in the hijack

The board read 3279J and after Hutchinson checked, Custodio bet 5,300. Hutchinson didn't appear to like the spot he was in and after thinking it over for some time, he laid it down while shaking his head.

Despite Hutchinson's decorated poker resume that puts in fourth on his country's all-time money list, an EPT final table still eludes the Scottish player. Will the last stop of the circuit in 2024 be when that changes?

Both players checked the 9 turn leading to the 9 river where Schneiders led out for 2,500. Ploch looked at his cards and folded. Schneiders asked Ploch to turn over one of his cards. The French chose the left card, the K.

Macnamara's Trips Crack Vogel's Kings

Level 1 : Blinds 100/100, 100 ante

There were already around 11,000 chips in the middle on a flop of 35Q when Serge Chechin and Florian Vogel checked to Tomas Macnamara, who bet 3,500. Chechin and Vogel both called.

On the Q turn, all three tapped the table to the 2 river where Chechin checked, and Vogel fired 6,500. Macnamara called, and Chechin quickly released his hand.

Vogel then flipped over KK for a pair of kings, but Macnamara had the winner holding AQ to take the pot with trips.

Cullen Leads the River

Level 1 : Blinds 100/100, 100 ante

Marko Jovanovic opened the button to 300 and both John Mooney & Benedict Cullen called from the blinds.

On the 105J flop, the action checked to Jovanovic, who bet 500. Mooney folded, but Cullen called.

An 8 on the turn saw both players check to the 4 river, where Cullen led out for 2,000. Jovanovic didn't need to think for too long before he made a decision, and he did so by tossing his cards into the muck.
