Straight over Set for Kofidis

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Apostolos Kofidis opened to 900 from under the gun, then called after Vitalii Shcherba in the hijack three-bet to 2,600.

The dealer fanned a flop of 3K4 and Shcherba continued for 1,500. Kofidis check-called, and check-called again after Shcherba bet 4,000 on the J turn.

On the 10 river, Kofidis decided to go all-in. Shcherba snap-called, finding himself at risk for 29,000.

Iwanov-Petkin Finds a Lucky Turn

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Dimitar Iwanov-Petkin
Dimitar Iwanov-Petkin

One of the players from Table 18 filled in the gaps for PokerNews in a hand that saw Dimitar Iwanov-Petkin spike a two-outer to remain in the tournament.

There were around 3,000 chips in the pot on a flop of 2x4x7x when Mounir Tajiou checked and Dimitar Iwanov-Petkin fired 1,500. Tobias Garp then raised to 5,500, and Tajiou called. Iwanov-Petkin then shoved his stack of 13,000 into the middle, which Garp called.

"My hand can't be good," said Tajiou, and he folded.

Dimitar Iwanov-Petkin: 1010 All in
Tobias Garp: 22

Garp had flopped bottom set and just needed to fade the two remaining tens in the deck to score an elimination, while Iwanov-Petkin was on the brink of the rail.

"One time!" said Iwanov-Petkin. Just then, the dealer turned over the 10, which gave Iwanov-Petkin the lead with a set of tens. Garp was down to just one out, but didn't find it on the 4 river, which meant Iwanov-Petkin doubled up.

"Yessssssss!" shouted Iwanov-Petkin.

Two Pair for Docherty

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

David Docherty opened to 900 from under the gun. He was called by the cutoff and the small blind, but Valeri Savov in the big blind squeezed to 5,500. Docherty was the only one to call.

Savov continued for 4,000 on the A44 flop, then fired a second barrel of 11,000 on the Q turn. Docherty called both times.

The 2 brought no action, so Savov revealed K9. Docherty had two pair with A10 and scooped the pot.

Chen Turns Two Pair Against Sandev

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

With almost 3,000 chips in the pot on a flop of J9K, Yuhang Chen checked from the big blind and Georgi Sandev fired 800 out of the hijack. Chen called.

An A dropped on the turn and Chen checked once again, and then called the bet of 3,200 from Sandev.

When the 3 dropped on the river, Chen checked, and Sandev went into the tank for a while. Ultimately, Sandev checked back and he probably felt glad that he did as Chen revealed two pair with A9 to take the pot.

"I was folding to your jam, nothing else," said Chen as he raked in the pot.
