Level 5 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante
Conor Beresford
Conor Beresford

Picking up the action on the river, the board was 3Q9103 with around 35,000 in the pot. Conor Beresford shoved all in and Thomas DeRooij made the call for 36,000.

Beresford showed AJ for a bluff with a missed straight draw, while DeRooij had KQ for a pair of queens to win the pot.

Beresford was left short and a couple of hands later he moved all in again, shoving his last 10,000 into the middle on the turn with top pair. His opponent, Attila Zab, called and flipped over a set of tens and Beresford was eliminated. He wished the table "good luck" as he headed for th exit.

"Worst River in World" for Schneiders as Ivanov Makes Quads

Level 5 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante
Felix Schneiders
Felix Schneiders

Felix Schneiders raised to 1,000 from the hijack. Fintan Hand, who had chipped back up considerably after being down to less than 15,000, called on the button, and Lyudmil Ivanov called in the big blind.

The flop paired when it ran out A10A and Ivanov checked. Schneiders made it 800 to go, which both Hand and Ivanov called. The turn was the 7 and Ivanov checked again. Schneiders sized up to 6,500, almost a pot sized bet. Hand folded and Ivanov called.

The river came the A and Ivanov checked. "Worst river in the world," said Schneiders as he checked behind to showdown.

Schneiders had 77 for a full house, while Ivanov flipped over AJ for quad aces to win the pot.

It was indeed a bad river for Schneiders, but he saved himself from elimination by checking back the river.
