Rau's Stack Gets a Little Shorter

Level 5 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

Eduard Rau came back from the break with 9,000 chips in his stack, but ended the first hand back with a little less.

Emil Mattsson opened from early position to 1,200 and Rau called out of the big blind.

On the 399 flop, Rau check-called a bet of 900 from Mattsson, then both checked to showdown on the 46 runout.

Rau showed K7 for king-high, but Mattsson's AK was best with ace-high.

Johansen Applies Max Pressure on Freslon

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

With around 4,000 chips in the pot on a 52J flop, two players in the blinds checked to Enguerran Freslon, who fired out 2,500. Jon Kyte folded, Lars-Magne Johansen raised to 7,500, the two blinds folded, and Freslon called.

A 3 dropped on the turn and once Freslon checked, Johansen bet enough to put his opponent all-in. Freslon had just under 10,000 remaining in his stack, and after thinking, he elected to preserve them by folding.

Kudzmanas' Small Pair Good at Showdown

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Following an open-raise from the hijack, Marius Kudzmanas three-bet to 2,800 from the cutoff, then Albert Gil put in the four-bet to 6,200 from the big blind. The original raiser folded and Kudzmanas called.

The flop came Q34 and Gil continued for 2,800, which Kudzmanas called.

Action then slowed down as both players checked it back on the 2 turn and 8 river. At showdown, Gil had AJ and Kudzmanas had A3 for a pair of threes, which was enough to win the pot.

Small Pot for Hand

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Clement Gouges raised to 800 from the cutoff and Fintan Hand called on the button. Both players then checked it back on the 8J5 flop.

The turn came the 4 and Gouges made it 1,400 to go. Hand made the call. The river was the Q, Gouges checked and Hand checked to showdown. Gouges had 66 and Hand had 77, his pocket sevens enough to win the pot.

Pavlov Three-Bets the Flop

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Claus Spieckermann raised to 1,000 under the gun before Ilia Pavlov three-bet to 3,100 from the hijack. When it folded back to Spieckermann, he called.

After Spieckermann checked the A910 flop, Pavlov put out a bet of 2,600. Spieckermann quickly check-raised to 5,200 and after a few moments, Pavlov shoved. The shove was for Spieckermann's remaining 13,300, and after doing a bit of inventory, Spieckermann tossed his cards into the muck

Ferreira Folds to Kovari's River Pressure

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

With almost 13,000 chips sitting in the middle on a 3585 board, Gianmarco Kovari bet 8,000 from the big blind, and after around a minute of thinking, Barros Ferreira called in the hijack.

A K completed the runout and Kovari shoved, which put Ferreira to the test for his remaining stack of around 12,000. Another minute or so went by and Ferreira finally elected to fold, which meant Kovari was awarded the pot.

Kerryjane Craigie is on the same table and has a stack of around 65,000 as the end of Level 4 nears.
