Schlott Eliminated in Penultimate Level

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Felix Schlott had a shot at a 100,000-chip stack, but instead was eliminated in the penultimate level of the day.

The full board of 61095Q was already showing with Schlott's QJ having rivered a pair of queens after missing an open-ended straight draw. However, Mohamad El Rais had flopped a set of sixes with 66, and after the stacks were counted down, Schlott had just 700 remaining.

Those 700 found their way into the middle in the next hand and Silvio Vitelli rivered a flush, which dispatched Schlott.

Petcu Shoves Over Rocha's River Bet

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

With around 8,000 chips in the pot on a board of 3AJ2, Dimitar Iwanov-Petkin led out for 2,000 from the small blind and Matheus Rocha made it 7,000 from the big blind. Elvis Petcu called from under the gun, and Iwanov-Petkin decided to get out of the way.

A 5 put a fourth club on board when the river hit the felt, and Rocha reached for chips then fired 17,600. Petcu was in the tank for a while and eventually shoved for 46,700. Rocha scrunched up his face while he agonized over the decision, but eventually elected to fold, forfeiting the pot to Petcu.

Big Fold for Middleton

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Action was on the river on a board of 4JJ75 with around 25,000 in the middle. Jongeun Kim pushed all in for 15,000 and Tom Middleton went deep into the tank. Floor was called, but it was ruled that Middleton would be given more time to think about his decision.

He eventually made the fold and revealed he had QJ for trip jacks.

"See, I wasn't wasting time," he said.

Stetsiura Luckily Doesn't Pull the Trigger, Demydenko Pulls in a Nice Pot

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Tetiana Demydenko
Tetiana Demydenko

Dmytro Stetsiura made it 2,400 from the cutoff and both Tetiana Demydenko in the small blind & Luc Van Der Beek in the big blind called.

On the A5Q flop, it checked to Stetsiura, who fired a small continuation-bet of 2,000. Demydenko and Van Der Beek called.

The action checked to Stetsiura again on the 3 turn, and this time he sized up to 5,500. Demydenko called almost immediately, and Van Der Beek got out of the way.

An A on the river paired the board, and Demydenko checked. Stetsiura was looking at his opponent's stack and without asking, Demydenko moved her blue chips forward to show that she had around 30,000 behind. Around 90 seconds passed and Stetsiura elected to check back, then Demydenko showed a flush with K9. Stetsiura mucked.
