Zaffagnini Shoves the River

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Umberto Zaffagnini is chipping up nicely and now has a stack of around 70,000 at the mid-way point of Level 4.

A full board of 31063K was showing with around 32,000 in the pot — over a starting stack! Merijn Van Rooij had checked from the small blind and Zaffagnini shoved, which put Van Rooij to the ultimate test for his remaining 25,000.

Around a minute passed before Van Rooij decided to pass, and Zaffagnini was pushed the chunky pot.

On the 3 turn, Tulepbergenov led out with a 3,000 bet. Di Blasi called again, keeping the hand alive.

The 9 river brought another bet from Tulepbergenov, this time for 2,000. After a brief pause, Di Blasi pushed all in for around 35,100. The unexpected move prompted Tulepbergenov to fold, handing Di Blasi the pot without a showdown.

Speranzoni Shoves Turn and Shows Ace

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Alberto Speranzoni raised to 1,000 from the hijack, Valentino Konakchiev called in the cutoff, the small blind called, then Aos Almsalam three-bet to 3,200 from the big blind. Speranzoni and Konakchiev called.

The flop came 8Q3 and Almsalam checked. Speranzoni bet 5,500 and both of his opponents, after taking their sweet time, called.

The turn was the 9 and Almsalam checked again, which prompted Speranzoni to move all in for 18,100. Konakchiev folded and Almsalam went into the tank before eventually mucking his hand.

"You want to see this one?," asked Speranzoni. "Just this one," he said as he turned over the A.

Golczyk’s Rivered Set Isn’t Enough

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Lukasz Golczyk min-raised from the cutoff, and Milos Dzakic responded with a three-bet from the small blind. The action went quickly as Golczyk four-bet all in, and Dzakic snap-called.

Lukasz Golczyk: 99 All in
Milos Dzakic: QQ

Golczyk needed a nine to stay alive in the tournament, but the flop J510 didn’t provide any help. The turn was the 8, which gave him an open-ended straight draw but also gave Dzakic a flush draw.

The dealer completed the board with the 9, which gave Golczyk a set. However, it wasn’t enough against Dzakic’s straight, and Golczyk was eliminated from the tournament.

Ten Haven's Pressure Forces Lauck to Fold

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Fabricio Nociolini opened the action under the gun with a raise to 800, and Jonas Lauck called from early position. Duco Ten Haven, sitting in the cutoff, upped the stakes with a three-bet to 4,000, which only Lauck called.

The flop came 476, and Lauck checked. Ten Haven capitalized on the opportunity, betting 2,000. Lauck quickly called, keeping the pot alive.

When the 2 hit the turn, Lauck checked again, and Ten Haven ramped up the pressure with a bet of 8,000. Lauck took his time, carefully considering his next move before making the call.

On the Q river, Lauck checked for the third time. Ten Haven wasn’t slowing down and fired a final bet of 10,000. Lauck went into a deep tank, visibly frustrated by the board, but ultimately decided to fold, handing the pot to Ten Haven.

A 5 dropped on the turn and El Yaacoubi slowed down with a check. Hartmann took over as the aggressor with a bet of 4,700, and El Yaacoubi called.

Another five, the 5, landed on the river and again El Yaacoubi checked, then Hartmann bet 12,700, leaving himself just 500 behind. El Yaacoubi didn't hesitate for long before he called, then he quickly mucked when he saw the full house of Hartmann, who turned over KQ.

Margets' Flush Gets Paid

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Andras Jakabfi opened to 1,000 from the hijack and was called by Julien Thome on the button. Leo Margets then squeezed to 5,500 from the small blind, which got a call from Jakabfi and a fold from Thome.

Jakabfi called a 2,300 bet from Margets on the 2K5 flop and then both players checked on the 9 turn.

The 7 completed the board and Margets fired 15,000 into the middle — sending Jakabfi deep into the tank.

Jakabfi plucked calling chips out from his stack and fiddled with them a while before placing them into the middle. Margets tabled 87 for a turned flush and Jakabfi showed the K before mucking his hand.
