Cards are in the air for Day 1b of the EPT Main Event.
The action was caught on the river in a hand between Jan Verner on the button and Karim Abdelmoumene in the big blind.
On a board of Q♦7♥3♦9♣Q♣, there were around 4,000 chips in the middle when Abdelmoumene checked the river and Verner fired 3,200. Abdelmoumene was taking his time to think, but eventually dropped in the call, then mucked when he saw the trips of Verner, who had Q♠J♥.

Houssem Meftahi raised to 400 from middle position, Fotios Ntamaris called in the next seat across and the big blind came along.
The flop was dealt A♦7♣7♥ and the big blind checked. Meftahi continued for 300 and only Ntamaris called. Both players then checked it back on the 8♠ turn.
The river came the 3♥ and Meftahi bet 1,700. Ntamaris gave it some thought before making the call. Meftahi flipped over Q♥J♥ and Ntamaris had A♠10♠ for two pair, aces and sevens to win the pot.

There were around 4,000 chips in the middle on a 6♣7♥2♠6♦ board when Fabrice Maltez checked the turn and Dmitry Shchepkin fired 1,600. Maltez called.
A 7♣ paired the board on the river and Maltez gathered chips then led out for 3,800. Shchepkin only needed a few seconds before he dropped in the call, and was probably expecting to see the cards of Maltez. However, Maltez didn't want to reveal his holding and mucked, which meant Shchepkin was pushed the pot without showing his cards.

Julien Sitbon opened the action under the gun with a raise to 300, and Dimitrios Gkatzas defended his big blind.
The flop came J♦3♣5♦, and after a check from Gkatzas, Sitbon continued for 300. Gkatzas called.
Both players checked the 5♣ turn, but the Q♠ river sparked fresh action. Gkatzas led out with a small bet of 200, only to face a quick raise to 2,200 from Sitbon. After a brief pause, Gkatzas made the call.
Sitbon revealed Q♦7♦ for queens and fives, enough to send Gkatzas’s cards into the muck as the pot slid Sitbon’s way.
