The flop 4♥8♥A♣ was already dealt, and Philip Joyce had a bet of 75,000 in front of him, enough to put his opponent, Eduard Rau, all in. Rau used some of his timebanks, and when he was sure he secured a pay jump he made the call.

Rau's king-high was ahead of Joyce's hand. The 10♠ on the turn improved Rau to a pair but also gave Joyce many new outs with a double-gutter. The dealer revealed the J♦ on the river, giving Joyce a pair of jacks to eliminate Rau and further climb the leaderboard.

Danut Chisu limped in from the small blind before Conor Bergin raised to 23,000 out of the big blind. Chisu called to see a flop.

The dealer fanned out a flop of 5♣J♦5♠ and Chisu check-called a bet of 16,000 from Bergin.

Chisu checked again when the 4♣ fell on the turn. As soon as Bergin started to make a bet, Chisu tossed his cards into the muck.

With around 50,000 chips already in the middle on a 5♥5♣6♣10♥, Philip Joyce bet 18,000 from the cutoff and Danut Chisu called on the button.

A 6♠ double-paired the board on the river and Joyce thought for a second before he threw out a bet of 20,000. Chisu called at lightning speed.

Joyce confidently flipped 9♣9♠, but was behind to the K♠10♣ of Chisu, who turned a pair of tens.
