Sukhov Busts First Hand Back From Break

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Pawel Wojciechowski
Pawel Wojciechowski

The restart to Level 19 was delayed slightly as a table had to be broken and the players heading to the stream tabled had to get mic'd up, however, on some tables, dealing had already started. The floor announced to stop dealing on all tables, but the hands that had already been dealt were not declared as misdeals.

Play then resumed with Yevhen Sukhov already all-in from the button for his stack of 217,000. Pawel Wojciechowski looked down at his cards from the big blind and liked what he saw, then called to put Sukhov at risk.

Yevhen Sukhov: 77 All in
Pawel Wojciechowski: AJ

It was a flip that Sukhov needed to win, but he got off to a bad start on the JA5 flop as Wojciechowski hit top two pair. A 9 on the turn left Sukhov with just one more chance to survive, but he was already on his feet.

"You stood up already?!" asked Wojciechowski to Sukhov.

The stand-up equity didn't help Sukhov, though, as the 9 river meant he was eliminated in the first hand back from the break.

Nikita Kuznetsov opened the action to 20,000 from middle position, and on his direct left, Davidi Kitai moved all in for 141,000. Pascal Vos asked for the exact count, and after the dealer confirmed, he announced all in for approximately 350,000. Kuznetsov folded.

Davidi Kitai: JJAll in
Pascal Vos: QQ

Kitai needed to find a jack to stay alive, but the flop 779 offered no help. A player from another table asked for a jack, and their wish was granted as the dealer revealed the J on the turn. The 7 on the river completed the board, securing Kitai a much-needed double-up.

Daniel Erlandsson raised to 20,000 from middle position with Christian Rudolph calling on the button and Konstantinos Nanos defending out of the big blind.

The 9710 flop got checked to Rudolph and he put out a bet of 25,000. Nanos check-raised to 68,000, which only Rudolph called.

Nanos bet 148,000 when the 3 dropped on the turn, and after a few moments, Rudolph shoved for Nanos' remaining 270,000. Nanos pondered briefly and then made the call.

Konstantinos Nanos: J10 All in
Christian Rudolph: 86

Rudolph was ahead with a flopped straight and could only lose if an eight was to fall on the river. However, the J came on the river, and Nanos was out of the tournament.

Gherghe Finds Runner-Runner Flush to Crack Aces

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Razvan Gherghe open-shoved all in from middle position with a short stack of 52,000, a little over five big blinds. Georgios Vrakas called from the button with the bigger stack. Players turned their cards, with Gherghe at risk.

Razvan Gherghe: QQ All in
Georgios Vrakas: AA

The flop came JA2 and Vrakas further improved to a set of aces. The turn was the 7, which gave Gherghe some outs to a flush. The river fell the 8 and Gherghe completed his runner-runner flush to win the pot, doubling his stack.

Vrakas commented that he can't even win a hand with a set of aces.

Sokolovsky Makes Nut Flush to Send Jorstad to Rail

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Espen Jorstad
Espen Jorstad

With action already on the flop on a board of 62J, Alexander Sokolovsky checked and Espen Jorstad bet 21,000. Sokolovsky then raised it up to 75,000 and Jorstad called.

The turn was the 9 and Sokolovsky continued his aggression with a bet of 63,000. Jorstad called again to make for an inflated pot.

On the 4 river, Sokolovsky pushed all in with the bigger stack. Jorstad didn't take too long before he flicked in a chip to make the call. Jorstad had JJ for a set of jacks, but Sokolovsky turned over A7 for the nut flush to win a huge pot, sending Jorstad to the rail.

Gkatzas Scores Huge Knockout

Dimitrios Gkatzas
Dimitrios Gkatzas

Alessandro Pichierri opened the action to 20,000, and Sylwia Studniarz three-bet to 60,000 from the cutoff. The action folded to Simas Karaliunas in the small blind, who moved all in for 314,000. Dimitrios Gkatzas asked for the exact count from the big blind before moving all in himself for 363,000. Both Pichierri and Studniarz folded.

Simas Karaliunas: AQAll in
Dimitrios Gkatzas: QQ

Karaliunas needed some luck to win this hand, but the J35 flop made his job even harder, taking away one of his outs. The J turn and 4 river offered no help, and Karaliunas was eliminated from the tournament as Gkatzas added a significant pot to his stack.
