Grodek’s Queens Hold in Crucial Flip Against Burke

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Kenny Burke
Kenny Burke

Kenny Burke opened the action from the hijack with a raise to 65,000. Stanislaw Grodek, seated in the cutoff, used a time bank card before three-betting to 140,000. The action folded back to Burke, who also used a time bank card before four-betting to 340,000, leaving himself with just 200,000 behind. Grodek took a moment, asked for a count of Burke’s remaining stack, and then moved all in. Burke quickly called, prompting Grodek to ask, "Aces? Kings?" Burke shook his head and revealed AK. Grodek, slightly relieved, tabled QQ, setting up a classic flip.

The board ran out 89475, offering no help to Burke. His tournament run came to an end as Grodek’s queens held firm, earning him a sizeable pot to boost his stack.

Mack Bluff Shoves River With Ten-High

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

A pot of around 700,000 had already been created by Pawel Wojciechowski and Adrian Mack on a 33568 board when Wojciechowski checked from the small blind on the river. Mack then instantly moved all in for 350,000, and after thinking it over, Wojciechowski folded.

Mack then revealed 109 for just ten-high, and Wojciechowski sat back in his chair with his arms folded while shaking his head.

"Come on America! Let's make America great again," said one of the table.

'Very brave, you're a brave man," said Wojciechowski.

"I needed chips," replied Mack.

Shupa Out of the Tournament

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Artur Shupa
Artur Shupa

Artur Shupa moved all in for 215,000 from the cutoff, and Pierre Calamusa called from the big blind.

Artur Shupa: K10 All in
Pierre Calamusa: AK

The flop came 9AQ, and Shupa needed to use his "shupa" powers to hit his gutshot and take down that pot. Unfortunately for him, the K on the turn and the 4 on the river didn’t help, and he was eliminated.

The chips went in preflop, with Laszlo Molnar’s tournament life on the line.

Laszlo Molnar: AKAll in
Barak Oz: 1010

The flop was a showstopper: 10104, giving Oz quad tens and leaving Molnar drawing dead. The A on the turn and the 9 on the river were mere formalities as Molnar made his exit, while Oz raked in the pot with a dominating hand.

Arjel Daci

Arjel Daci opened to 40,000 from the button and faced a three-bet to 135,000 from Umberto Ruggeri in the small blind. The action folded back to Daci, who moved all in for 510,000. After confirming the exact count, Ruggeri made the call.

Arjel Daci: KK All in

Alontsau Takes From Park

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Jaehyung Park opened to 40,000 under the gun and Siarhei Alontsau three-bet to 75,000 from the cutoff. After the rest of the table folded, Park made the call.

The two players both checked the Q54 flop to see the 7 land on the turn. Park led out for 50,000 and Alontsau called.

The 2 on the river saw both players check. Park showed ace-high with AJ and lost the pot to Alontsau's pocket jacks with JJ.

McSwiney Gets Pumped Up After Winning Flip

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Joshua McSwiney
Joshua McSwiney

Ken Oberlieben had raised from the cutoff and Joshua McSwiney got his stack of 480,000 into the middle from the big blind. Oberlieben called.

Joshua McSwiney: 99 All in
Ken Oberlieben: AJ

It was a fair flip that saw McSwiney keep his advantage through the 658 flop. A 10 on the turn didn't change anything, and neither did the 2 river, which meant McSwiney doubled up.

"Let's goooooooo!" shouted McSwiney as the river card was dealt.

Oie Gets Paid on the River

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Vidar Oie opened to 40,000 from the button and was called by Luka Sorainen in the big blind.

The flop came 994, and Sorainen checked. Oie made a continuation bet of 35,000, and Sorainen raised to 80,000. Oie didn't slow down and responded with a raise to 175,000, and Sorainen called.

Both players checked the A on the turn, and the 10 completed the board. Sorainen checked again, and Oie bet 130,000. After some thought, Sorainen called, only to see the bad news as Oie revealed a full house with A9.
