Patience Pays for Eskes

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Jaehyung Park opened to 185,000 from the button, and Tjenno Eskes defended from the big blind to see a flop of 610J. Both players opted to check, keeping the pot small.

The 9 arrived on the turn, but the passive line continued as both players checked again.

On the 3 river, Eskes made his move, leading out for 380,000. The unexpected aggression sent Park into a deep tank, visibly torn as he evaluated his options with just 1,100,000 left behind.

After burning through four time bank cards, Park ultimately decided to fold, conceding the pot. Eskes’s calculated bet secured him another solid win, while Park passed on a chance to grow his stack.
