Thomas Santerne and Nikita Kuznetsov have both been battling in some small pots. First, Kuznetsov check-called 20,000 on A♣7♥4♥ but check-folded to a bet of 80,000 from Santerne on the 2♦ turn.

Then, Santerne opened to 24,000 and Kuznetsov defended his big blind.

Kuznetsov check-called 25,000 on the Q♠J♦3♦ flop and both players checked the Q♥ turn. The river was the 5♠ and Kuznetsov bet 103,000. Santerne folded.

Thomas Santerne opened to 20,000 and called a three-bet shove from Viacheslav Buldygin for Buldygin's last 220,000.

Buldygin wasn't pleased tabling A♥9♥ to be met by the A♠A♦ of the Frenchman, and although the flop K♠J♣9♣ gave him a pair, there was no further help on the 7♥6♠ runout and he was eliminated.

Santerne now vaults above Nikita Kuznetsov and into the overall chip lead.

Markkos Ladev shoved from early position for 88,000 with Thomas Santerne calling from the small blind before Niklas Astedt three-bet to 250,000 from the big blind. Santerne folded and the cards were revealed.

If Ladev could get a safe runout he would triple up. However, the dealer fanned out a flop of J♣A♥8♦ to put Astedt in the lead with a pair of aces. The 4♥ turn and 7♦ river didn't help Ladev, and he was the first elimination of the final table.
