Thorel Takes Two Pots
Jean-Noel Thorel hasn't been seated for long, but didn't take too much time before he got involved in a couple of hands.
First, Tom Fuchs raised the cutoff to 2,500 and Thorel called in the small blind. Tamas Adamszki, who just sat down, called in the big blind.
The flop came 4♦3♣3♥, which checked around to Fuchs, who bet 3,000. Thorel called and Adamszki folded. A 6♣ hit the turn where Thorel check-called a bet of 15,000 from Fuchs.
When the 5♣ landed on the river, Thorel led for 15,000. and that got Fuchs to fold.
Two hands later, Seth Davies raised from early position and Thorel three-bet the cutoff to 9,000. Davies called.
On the 10♥8♠J♦ flop, Davies check-called a bet of 15,000 from Thorel to the 7♠ turn, where again Davies checked. Thorel didn't slow down and fired 35,000, which earned him the pot as Davies let it go.
