At Last, a Bet
Level 26
: Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Martin Nielsen opened to 100,000 from under the gun and Sebastian Ionita defended in the big blind.
The flop of 10♦8♣4♥ checked through and so did the K♠ turn. Both players checked again on the J♣ river and Ionita showed Q♥9♣ to win the pot with a rivered straight.
The next hand, Umberto Zaffagnini opened to 100,000 in the cutoff and Nielsen defended in the big blind.
It looked like it would be another checked down hand as both players checked on the J♠6♣9♣ flop and again on the 5♥ turn. Nielsen checked again on the 6♠ river and Zaffagnini fired a bet of 75,000. Nielsen laid it down.
