Theologis Starting Strong
Level 1
: Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
When action folded to Ben Heath in the small blind, he limped in for 1,000. Alexandros Theologis raised to 3,500 from the big blind, and Heath made the call to take the players to a flop.
The dealer burned and turned a 7♠8♦9♣ flop, and both players checked. Action checked through again on the 2♣ turn.
Heath then opted to take over the betting lead on the 10♠ river, placing a bet of 2,500. Theologis responded with a raise to 12,000, which Heath called.
Theologis turned over 6♠6♥ for a rivered straight, good enough to lay claim to the pot.
