The Little Pair that Could
Level 7
: Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Alexandros Theologis kicked the action off with a raise to 9,000 on the button. The small blind player got out of the way, but Samuel Mullur, in the big blind, called.
The two players saw a 4♣Q♦9♣ flop, and when Mullur checked in flow, Theologis continued for 6,000. Mullur then put his plan into action, check-raising to 27,000, which Theologis called.
The A♥ turn slowed down the action, as both players checked. There was no further betting on the 3♠ river either, and when Mullur revealed his K♣2♠, Theologis showed the winning hand in the form of 2♦2♣.
