Boika Bounces to the Top of the Counts

Markus Bonus opened to 16,000 from under the gun and was called by Marian Virlanuta. Aliaksei Boika made it 60,000 from the hijack, and saw Bonus call. Virlanuta then jammed for around 350,000, prompting Boika to reshove as the big stack. Bonus folded.

The action was picked up on a board of 4♣7♠5♣2♥3♥ with Giorgos Onisiforou in the small blind betting 40,000, the size of the pot.

Giuseppe Spitale, in the big blind, went deep into the tank and eventually made the call with 5♥3♠ for two pair. However, Onisiforou had K♣6♠ for a straight to take the pot.

"Oh, my friend..." Spitale said, with a strong Italian accent, to express his deception.

In the blinds, Giorgos Onisiforou and Evaldas Aniulis had gathered around 80,000 preflop. Onisforou checked the Q♥10♣5♠ flop to Aniulis, who bet 25,000.

Onisforou called, and did again when Aniulis sized up to 55,000 on the 6♦ turn. Onisforou checked a third time on the 2♦ river. Aniulis quickly bet 175,000, putting Onisforou to the test for his last 131,000.

Onisforou used two time banks before he called. Aniulis showed down J♠3♠ for jack-high, and a relieved Onisforou raked in a double-up with Q♦7♦ for top pair.
