Bedell Sneaks the Pot

Maxime Chilaud opened from middle position to 40,000, finding callers in Tom-Aksel Bedell in the small blind and Petre Ionescu in the big blind.

The flop came 8♣6♥9♥. Bedell checked, and Ionescu bet 180,000, leaving just 60,000 behind. Chilaud folded, but Bedell stayed in to see the 2♦ turn.

Both players checked the turn and the K♣ river, leading to a showdown.

Bedell revealed Q♣10♣ for a missed straight, but it was enough as Ionescu mucked, leaving himself short.

Adria Calonge raised his button to 40,000. Toni Kaukua and Tomasz Brzezinski called in the blinds, after which the trio all checked the 10♠8♦6♥ flop.

Kaukua then led out for 90,000 on the 3♥ turn. Brzezinski called before Calonge folded K♣3♣. The 10♦ river caused Kaukua to use a time bank. He then settled on a pot-sized bet of 320,000.

Brzezinski tossed in all his time extensions, but he ended up using none of them as he called before his initial 30 seconds were gone.

Kaukua showed K♥10♣ for trip tens, besting the 8♥7♦ of Brzezinski and awarding him with a second big pot in a short time.

Juan Pardo opened to 40,000 from the hijack, and Joao Tomas called from the small blind.

Tomas called bets of 70,000 and 225,000 on the flop and turn for the board to read J♣10♥2♦3♥3♣. Tomas, with 685,000, checked, and Pardo moved in. Tomas quickly folded, and Pardo dragged in the pot.

Pardo raised again on the next hand, with Longmao Fan calling from the big blind.

Fan called bets of 70,000 and 225,000 for the completed board to show 7♣5♥4♠2♠10♦. Both players checked on the river, with Fan's J♠J♦ good for the pot.

Toni Kaukua made it 40,000 to go in middle position. Jiaming Zhao flat-called in the cutoff, and the two went to the 5♣J♦K♦ flop. Kaukua continued with a bet of 40,000, and Zhao quickly called.

The A♦ arrived on the turn. Kaukua put in a hefty bet of 150,000, almost the size of the pot, but an undeterred Zhao put in another swift call.

Kaukua more than doubled his bet on the 6♣ river, and Zhao again called the 375,000 without much thought. Kaukua tabled 9♦7♦ for a turned flush, leaving the slow-played A♥A♣ of Zhao in the dust.

Faria also checked the 2♦ river, but Brzezinski picked the aggression back up with a bet of 50,000. Faria tossed in calling chips, mucking his 8♣5♦ when Brzezinski tabled 9♥9♦ for a slightly higher pair.

With only the 7♠ being picked up by the card reader, Adria Calonge raised to 40,000 in the cutoff. Jiaming Zhao defended his big blind, seeing the dealer fan the K♠5♣2♣ flop.

Calonge continued for 30,000, and Zhao check-called. The 9♥ turn was checked by both before the J♣ river completed the board.

Zhao led out for 70,000, which received a swift call from Calonge. Zhao turned over Q♣9♣ for a flush, and Calonge's mystery hand disappeared into the muck.
