Brzezinski became the huge favorite on the Q♣7♣3♣ flop, but the J♠ turn kept Ostash in with a shot of taking the hand. The 2♠ river was a brick and Brzezinski survived once more.
Adria Calonge raised to 60,000 under the gun. Joao Tomas called in the cutoff before the dealer fanned the 5♠10♥J♦ flop. Calonge checked-folded to Tomas' bet of 105,000.
On the next deal, Tomas made it 60,000 in the hijack. Calonge defended his big blind, but gave up on the 10♦8♠2♥ flop when he was faced with another bet of 105,000.
The very next hand, Tomas sat under the gun and opened to 60,000. Calonge called again, this time in the small blind. Tomas opted for a continuation-bet of 115,000 on the 3♥9♦Q♠ flop, again getting a check-fold for his efforts.
A couple of hands later, Tomas limped in from the small blind. Longmao Fan checked his option in the big blind, seeing the 7♣8♥4♦ flop fanned. Tomas checked, Fan bet 40,000, and Tomas called.
Tomas then led out for 50,000 on the 6♠ turn. Fan called to the 5♥ river, which Tomas checked. Fan promptly bet 400,000, over half his remaining chips. Tomas snap-called for Fan to table 10♥3♥, playing the straight on the board.
Tomas had a higher straight with J♣9♦, however, raking in another pot and obtaining a stack of 60 big blinds.
Mykhailo Ostash 8♦8♣ raised to 60,000 from the cutoff and was called by Tom-Aksel Bedell 5♥4♠ from the button. Aliaksei Boika A♥Q♠ three-bet to 600,000 from the big blind and only Ostash called.
Boika checked on the 7♣6♦5♠ flop, and folded when Ostash bet 225,000.
Adrian Mateos 2♦2♣ raised to 60,000 from the button. Mykhailo Ostash K♦10♥ and Tom-Aksel Bedell J♠9♠ called from the blinds.
It checked through to the river for board to read 8♣6♦4♥3♥J♥, Ostash overbet, sizing up to 305,000. It worked as Bedell and Mateos folded their pairs.
Action folded to Longmao Fan in the small blind, and he raised to 90,000, with Luis Faria calling from the big blind.
The flop came 5♥J♣K♣, and Fan continued for 70,000. Faria stuck around to see the 8♠ turn.
Fan quickly sized up Faria’s stack on the turn before moving all-in, putting Faria’s tournament life at risk. With a stack of 480,000, Faria burned through four time bank cards before making the call. He tabled Q♣10♣ for a straight flush draw, while Fan showed 7♠4♠ for a gutshot.
The river brought the 5♦, helping neither player, and Faria doubled up with queen high.

On the A♦8♦3♣ flop, Mateos check-called for 45,000 with his pair of nines. The Spaniard made two pair on the 5♦ turn to leave Boika drawing dead. The action checked through to the 8♥ river, where Boika folded to a bet of 185,000
Tomasz Brzezinski, in the small blind, put Maxime Chilaud all-in for his last 155,000. Chilaud called for his tournament life from the big blind.

Chilaud picked up an open-ender on the Q♠J♣6♠ flop, and took the lead on the 9♦ turn. The K♥ river saw Brzezinski make a pair of kings but Chilaud improved to a straight to lock up the double.
Alessandro Barone open-jammed his 390,000 in from the small blind. Juan Pardo asked for a count in the big blind before he called off.
