Fuchs Shows the Table How to Play Aces

Tom Fuchs three-bet to 3,300 in the small blind, Ami Barer moved all in from the big blind, and Fuchs called for his last 12,000.

Fuchs had woken up with aces and was a big favorite to double up as the flop came 3K10. The K turn, though, gave Barer outs to a flush.

"There's always a sweat," tablemate Nina Krasilnikova said, but Fuchs successfully dodged the 2 river to double up.

"That's how you play aces. You double up with them," Dietrich Fast added.

Vo Survives a Flip With Glaser

Level 5 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

Marius Gicovanu three-bet to 3,800 in the cutoff and Benny Glaser four-bet to 9,100 on the button. Viet Vo then moved all in for 19,800 in the small blind as Gicovanu took a few minutes before folding. Glaser also spent a minute in the tank, but he eventually called to put Vo at risk.

Vo needed to survive the flip as the board ran out K5468, keeping his tens in the lead and securing his double up. Gicovanu could only shake his head and shrug as the pot was pushed to Vo.

"Did you fold ace-king?" a tablemate asked him.

"I don't lose to him. There's no way. If he goes in, I triple," Vo added.

Daniel De Sousa Custodio raised to 1,000 from middle position, Iulian Blebea three-bet to 3,500 from the cutoff and Custodio called.

The flop came 3K2 and Custodio checked. Blebea bet 2,000 and Custodia called. The turn was the 4 and Custodio checked again. Blebea sized up to 13,000 and Custodio folded to give him the pot.

Edo Zucker open-raised to 1,200 from early position and picked up three callers, including Felix Schneiders in the small blind.

The flop came 5A6 and action checked to Zucker, who made a continuation-bet of of 2,400. Schneiders then check-raised to 7,500 and Zucker was left with the decision as the rest of the table folded. Zucker moved all in and Schneiders quickly called.

Zucker had AK for top pair, top kicker. Schneiders, though, had 66 for a set of sixes.

The turn and river came blanks and Schneiders held to win the pot, sending Zucker to the rail.

Heads-up on a flop of 8J2, Stuart Taylor bet 3,600 from the button and Yuliyan Kolev called in the hijack.

Both players checked the A turn. The river was the 3 and Kolev led out for 15,000. Taylor then moved all in and Kolev, with only around 3,000 remaining, quickly folded.

At the same time at an adjacent table, Blaz Zerjav moved all in for 24,300 from the hijack and Stephane Guelpa put him at risk under the gun.

The flop came 664 and Bradley continued for 2,100. Holskyi folded, but Derwiche stuck around to see the J turn. Bradley then bet 7,500.

"Ay, ay, ay," Derwiche muttered as he tanked for a minute before eventually releasing his hand.

"Pick one, they are the same," Bradley told him, and Derwiche turned over the 2.

"Was a deuce winning?" Bradley added

"Can you call the floor?" Derwiche joked before the two opponents exchanged a high-five.

Lin Shows Karam His Bluff

Hala Karam open-raised to 1,000 from middle position, Ren Lin three-bet to 3,200 from the hijack and Karam called.

The flop came 3KJ and Karam checked. Lin bet 1,000 and Karam quickly called.

"Oh, snap call!" said Lin.

The turn was the 6 and Karam checked. Lin bet 8,000 and said "not bluff this time."

Karam asked if Lin would show one. Lin agreed and Karam folded her hand. Lin was about to muck, but Karam jumped out of her seat.

"You promised!" said Karam, who prompted Lin to show and revealed her own hand in exchange. Karam had AxQx and Lin showed 74 for a bluff.

"I knew it!" said Karam.

"Ace-queen, you cannot call," replied Lin as he dragged in the pot.
