Cesar Garcia opened from the cutoff, and Aleksandr Shevliakov three-bet shoved for 18,400 from the button. Garcia called with a covering stack to put him at risk.
Aleksandr Shevliakov: J♥10♥
Cesar Garcia: A♠K♦
Garcia was a slight favorite preflop, but the 10♣10♠6♣2♠9♦ runout left him drawing dead by the turn, while Shevliakov was good at showdown with trip tens to double up.
Reiji Kono opened to 1,600 in middle position. Benedikt Wenzel flat-called on the button, after which Tom Shaham squeezed in a three-bet to 6,000 from the small blind.
Kono quickly moved all in for 15,600, folding out Wenzel. Shaham immediately called to force a showdown.
Reiji Kono: A♠K♠
Tom Shaham: A♣Q♦
Kono looked to be in great shape to get back above starting stack, but Shaham paired up on the 7♣4♠Q♠ flop to take the lead.
The J♦ turn gave Kono a gutshot in addition to his flopped flush draw, but the Q♥ river improved Shaham to trips to set Kono's elimination in stone.
Simeon Spasov was all-in from under the gun for 11,500 and up against the covering stack of Adrian Lipe to his direct left.
Simeon Spasov: A♦K♥
Adrian Lipe: K♦Q♣
Spasov was in great shape with a dominating king, but the 2♠6♠3♥7♦Q♠ runout gave Lipe a rivered queen to send Spasov to the rail.
From the hijack, Akin Tuna tossed a bet of 22,000 into a pot of 27,000 on the completed board of 8♣Q♥4♣2♥4♠. His opponent was Luis Faria, who tossed in a quick calling chip.
Tuna tabled J♦9♥ for nothing but air. Faria had rivered trips with A♥4♥, and he comfortably raked in the pot to cross the six-figure mark.
David Gradic open-raised in early position, prompting Philipp Hasenburger to three-bet to 5,700 in the cutoff. It folded back to Gradic, who clicked it back to 11,500.
After some thought, Hasenburger five-bet jammed for 51,200, and Gradic quickly called off.
Philipp Hasenburger: K♥K♣
David Gradic: A♦K♦
"I busted yesterday like this," Hasenburger commented as the 4♣Q♦J♥ flop was fanned. "Ten on the river."
No ten arrived this time, however, as the 3♠8♠ runout remained safe for Hasenburger to double up. Gradic, meanwhile, was left with less than ten big blinds, which he lost soon after.
With the board reading J♣K♠3♣Q♦ and around 6,000 in the middle, Maria Lampropulos checked from the small blind, Marc Foggin bet 4,600 from under the gun, and Lampropulos called.
Lampropulos checked the 4♣ river and Foggin checked behind. Lampropulos turned over A♣10♠ for a Broadway straight and Foggin mucked his hand.
Foggin had just over 20,000 following the hand, and was eliminated soon after.
Three-handed to the J♠8♦6♣ flop, Matan Krakow bet 4,000 from the big blind and was called by Bora Kurtulus on the button. Nicola Grieco then raised to 16,000, which only Krakow called.
The 5♥ turn was checked twice, leading to the 3♥ river. Krakow retook the initiative with a bet of 16,000, with which he won the pot as Grieco quickly mucked his cards.
Siegfried Friedl shoved for 6,300 from the hijack, and Ermanno Di Nicola called with a covering stack from the cutoff.
Siegfried Friedl: K♥Q♥
Ermanno Di Nicola: 5♦5♣
Friedl got the best of the preflop flip as the K♠4♦8♠9♦10♦ runout gave him top pair for the double.
