Iakuba Sends Trigg into the Tank

Level 1 : Blinds 100/100, 100 ante

Richard Trigg opened from the hijack and Anton Iakuba three-bet to 1,600 on the button. Trigg called and the players went heads up to the flop.

The K62 flop prompted Trigg to check-call a 1,100 bet from Iakuba and both checked the 4 turn to see the 2 river.

Trigg checked again and Iakuba bet 3,300. Trigg took some time, counted out his stack, and moved in a chip to call.

Three-way to the J365 turn, it checked to Mariusz Klabisch under the gun, who bet 1,600. Ferdinando D'Alessio called in the small blind before Marcello Miniucchi bumped it up to 7,500 in the big blind.

Klabisch and D'Alessio both called to the 5 river, where Miniucchi sized up to 11,000 after another check by D'Alessio. Klabisch quickly called, while D'Alessio folded.

Miniucchi opened AA for aces and fives. A frustrated Klabisch flung his QQ across the table after discovering his overpair was no good.

He got up and walked away from the tournament area to take a breather before returning to his seat and continuing his Main Event.
