Montone’s Big River Bet Secures the Pot

Barak Wisbrod opened the action from under the gun with a raise to 12,000 and drew three callers.

The flop came Q98, and action checked to Diego Montone on the button, who bet 15,000. Only two players continued to see the 3 turn.

Both checked again to Montone, who pushed forward with a bet of 75,000. Wisbrod let it go, but Fahredin Mustafov in the cutoff called.

The 4 landed on the river and Mustafov checked once more. Montone ramped up the pressure with a massive 400,000 bet, leaving just 80,000 behind. Mustafov went deep into the tank, burning through three time bank cards, before finally folding and conceding the pot to Montone.

Guerrini continued for 12,000, which Nazari raised to 28,000. Guerrini called to the A turn, which checked through to the 9 river. Guerrini checked again, prompting Nazari to fire a bet of 55,000.

Guerrini called after some thought, and he was awarded the pot as Nazari elected to muck his hand.
