In a pot of 18,000, Lukas Pazma shoved in his 14,200 from the hijack on a completed board of 2♥3♠7♣2♦10♦. John Driver spent some time in the tank before he decided to look his opponent up.
"Good call," Pazma stated as he revealed K♦J♣ for king-high. Driver had called with A♣3♣, enough to rake in the pot and send Pazma to the rail.
Chang Tan open-shoved for about 9,500 from early position and got snapped off by Artem Shaganov in the big blind.
Chang Tan: A♠9♠
Artem Shaganov: A♣K♦
Tan was crushed by Shaganov's big slick, and the K♣J♦Q♥ flop spelled further trouble as Shaganov improved to top pair.
Tan did pick up a gutshot to chop the pot, but neither the Q♦ turn nor 4♦ river provided any help, making him the latest elimination from the Main Event.
Andrija Robovic was down to about 9,000 and got them all in preflop from late position, with Andre Moreira trying to send him to the rail.
Andrija Robovic: 6♣6♥
Andre Moreira : A♦9♣
Robovic was in a race he needed to win, and he did just that on the 9♦6♦2♠Q♠10♥ runout by improving to a set and doubling through Moreira.
After Jon Kyte had check-raised the 8♣10♦7♦ flop in middle position, button Bogdan Jontulovic moved in his stack of 33,100 for an all-in bet. Kyte quickly called with the covering stack.
Bogdan Jontulovic: 10♥8♥
Jon Kyte: Q♦8♦
Kyte did not improve on the 5♣ turn or 3♥ river, doubling up Jontulovic and leaving himself with just over four big blinds.
Marc MacDonnell came in for a raise to 1,600 under the gun and Mathew Frankland three-bet from the next position to 6,000. MacDonnell elected to call when the action got back to him.
MacDonnell check-called a continuation-bet of 4,700 from Frankland on the 2♥9♦6♣ flop before both players checked down the 3♦ turn and 8♠ river.
MacDonnell tabled AxQx for ace-high, only to see that Frankland had rivered a pair of eights with A♣8♣ to take the pot.
Samir Kourie raised to 1,600 from middle position and only Bruno Dos Santos called on the button.
Kourie continued for 2,400 on the A♥8♣6♣ flop, and Dos Santos called.
The 9♥ came on the turn, causing Kourie to check. Dos Santos bet 4,500, and Kourie quickly check-jammed with the covering stack. Dos Santos took another look at his cards before calling for his 20,000 total.
Bruno Dos Santos: A♣9♣
Samir Kourie: 10♥6♥
Dos Santos had the lead with two pair and a flush draw, up against Kourie's bottom pair, gutshot, and flush draw.
Kourie found the 3♥ on the river to complete his flush, sending Dos Santos to the rail not long after dinner.
Silvio Giuliano, under the gun, and Roman Mironov, in middle position, had built a pot of 19,000 when they arrived on the 3♠A♣7♠4♦9♣ river. Giuliano tossed in an overbet of 25,000, which Mironov called after a bit of thought.
Giuliano triumphantly showed 6♠5♠ for the nuts, dragging the big pot to overtake Mironov in the counts.
