Matthew Frankland
Matthew Frankland

Mathew Frankland raised to 1,200 from early position, with Alexander Yen calling on the button and Andrii Nadieliaiev defending from the big blind.

Upon seeing the 693 flop, Nadieliaiev led all-in for about 7,000. Frankland moved in over the top for 16,400, and Yen called, giving him the chance to send two players for an early dinner.

Andrii Nadieliaiev: 64 All in
Mathew Frankland: 109 All in
Alexander Yen: QJ

Nadieliaiev had middle pair, while Frankland held top pair and the lead, with Yen holding two overcards and a flush draw.

The 3 turn was safe for Frankland, as was the 10 river, which improved him to two pair.

Nadieliaiev was sent to the rail, while Frankland more than doubled his stack.

Louis Pascal: Q10 All in
Benoit Fiasson: AK All in
Luka Sorainen: AK

Pascal turned a queen on 7J7Q for a big lead. The 6 river remained safe for him, tripling him up.

Ladev's Ladies Save Him

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Markkos Ladev
Markkos Ladev

Markkos Ladev raised the button to 1,200 before Leo Worthington-Leese three-bet from the small blind to 3,800. Igor Picone, in the big blind, thought for a while before four-betting to 7,500. Ladev shoved for about 11,600, and only Picone called.

Markkos Ladev: QQ All in
Igor Picone: AK

Ladev needed to fade an ace or king to boost his stack back towards what he started with.

The dealer spread the 5JJ flop, keeping Ladev's pair in the lead.

Neither the 3 turn nor J river was any good for Picone's big slick, allowing Ladev to secure the double-up.

Mittal's Spin-Up Begins

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

Rahul Mittal has doubled twice in consecutive hands, increasing his stack to around a third of what he started with.

First, he jammed for a few big blinds under the gun and found a call from Umberto Vitagliano in the hijack.

Umberto Vitagliano: 33

It was a flip, and Mittal managed to navigate his way to the win after pairing his queen on the 86QJ4 runout.

On the very next hand, Marcin Puczylowski raised to 1,300 from early position, and Thomas Hueber called from the next seat. Mittal ripped it in for about 4,800 from the big blind, which Hueber called.

Rahul Mittal: 76 All in
Thomas Hueber: K10

Mittal was behind, but that didn't matter as the J6859 runout gave him a straight, completing back-to-back doubles and taking his stack up to five figures.

Michael Dwyer

Seeing the K28A appear as the turn, Michael Dwyer bet 15,000 into a pot of 18,000 from the big blind. Felipe Germano sat in middle position, giving it some thought before moving all in for 26,900.

Dwyer spent a minute or so in the tank before he committed the required chips for a call.

Felipe Germano: A9 All in
Michael Dwyer: K2

Germano had plenty of outs against Dwyer's two pair, but the 10 river was not one of them. Both players tapped the table before Germano departed the tournament area.
