Dario Sammartino raised the cutoff to 3,000, and Daniel Abrahamsson three-bet from the big blind to 12,000 with around 35,000 behind.
Sammartino didn't need to think for too long before he slid out a stack of T-5,000 chips, putting Abrahamsson all in. Abrahamsson quickly folded, and Sammartino flashed the 3♣ for everyone to see.
Paul Lagan raised the button to 2,500 with Eduard Litskan and Nikolay Ponomarev calling from the blinds.
After it checked to Lagan, he bet 3,000 on the 5♠K♥J♠ flop, and only Ponomarev called.
Ponomarev check-called another bet from Lagan when the A♥ arrived on the turn, this time for 7,000.
The J♦ completed the board, and Ponomarev checked for the final time. Lagan unloaded the clip with a third barrel of 12,000, and after a few moments to think, Ponomarev stuck in the call.
Lagan revealed a missed draw with Q♥7♥ and lost the pot to Ponomarev's K♠9♦ for just a pair of kings.
When the action folded to Gianluca Bernardini on the button, he moved all-in, having both players in the blinds well covered. The small blind folded, but Umberto Ruggeri wasted no time in calling in the big blind.

Andrea Cortellazzi raised it to 3,100 from the cutoff and was instantly three-bet to 8,000 by Rene Lehmann on the button. Cortellazzi decided to call when it got back to him.
The flop came down 4♦K♠7♠, and Cortellazzi checked. Lehmann bet 6,000, which got Cortellazzi to fold.
As Lehmann stacked up his chips, he flashed A♥K♥ for top pair.
Thierry Gogniat was all-in and at risk after maneuvering his 19,700 stack into the middle from the small blind against Chun Kit Kwan in the big blind.

Thomas Mjeldheim raised to 2,500 in early position, which Jose Manuel Nadal Sordo called one seat to his left. When the action folded to Rui Bouquet in the big blind, he moved all-in for 32,900. Mjeldheim called, and Sordo folded.

Once Mjeldheim saw the J♦3♠2♠ flop, he prepared to pay Bouquet his double-up. However, he slowed down when the Q♥ turn saw him take the lead.
Alas, his joy lasted just one street, as the 10♠ river improved Bouquet to a Broadway straight, seeing him double up the hard way.
