Davenport Gives It Up

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Liwei Sun raised to 2,500 in the cutoff before calling when Matt Davenport three-bet to 10,000 from the big blind.

Both players checked on the 10♣8♥4♦ flop, but when the A♥ hit the turn, Davenport loaded up a delayed continuation-bet of 24,000. Undeterred, Sun called.

The board-pairing, flush-completing 10♥ then completed the board, and Davenport reverted to checking. Sun checked behind, and after seeing Davenport's K♠2♦, he flipped over his A♠Q♠ to claim the pot.

Thalmann Gets a Full Double With a Boat

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Yves Thalmann
Yves Thalmann

Yves Thalmann raised under the gun to 2,500 and Alon Huberman called in the hijack. Thomas Mjeldheim squeezed to 4,500 from the cutoff, which Thalmann and Huberman both called.

Thalmann and Huberman checked after the dealer spread the 7♥A♠8♥ flop, and Mjeldheim fired for 4,500. Thalmann check-raised to 14,000, forcing Huberman to fold. Mjeldheim, however, quickly called.

Thalmann continued with a bet of around 20,000 on the 8♦ turn, and again Mjeldheim called.

The J♠ completed the board, prompting Thalmann to shove for his remaining 33,900. Mjeldheim tanked for quite some time before making the call for around a third of his stack.

Thalmann turned over 7♠7♣ for a full house to earn the double-up, while Mjeldheim showed A♣10♣ for top pair.

Karapanau Gets it Through

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Walter Treccarichi opened the action with a raise to 2,400 on the button, to which Oleh Pritsak responded with a three-bet to 8,000 from the small blind. Ryhor Karapanau then opted to four-bet jam from the big blind, putting his stack of 42,400 at risk. Treccarichi quickly folded, and, after taking a little longer to consider the options, Pritsak did the same.

Stegeman's Nines Are Good at Showdown

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Alberto Stegeman
Alberto Stegeman

Joachim Haraldstad raised to 2,500 under the gun, with Alberto Stegeman and Qing Lu calling from the blinds.

When the action checked to Haraldstad on the A♦3♦6♠ flop, he put out a continuation-bet of 2,500, which both of his opponents called.

The Q♥ turn checked through before the 2♥ landed on the river, where everyone checked again.

Lu showed 4♠2♠ for a pair of deuces, but Stegeman had him beat with 9♠9♦ for a pair of nines to take down the pot.
