Van Dijk Holds to Double

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Kalybek Nurkozhoev raised to 2,000 on the button, which Giovanni La Padula called in the small blind. Bart van Dijk then three-bet all-in for 16,600 from the big blind, which Nurkozhoev called before La Padula folded.

Bart van Dijk: AJ All in
Kalybek Nurkozhoev: Q9

Both players connected with the 93J flop, but crucially for Van Dijk, he retained his lead. The A turn improved Van Dijk further, before the 5 sealed the deal, securing him a full double-up.

Di Giacomo Felts Machado

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Lucas Diniz raised to 2,000 under the gun and Hugo Machado jammed from middle position for about 13,000. Claudio Di Giacomo four-bet to approximately 26,000 from the big blind, which forced Diniz out.

Hugo Machado: 88 All in
Claudio Di Giacomo: JJ

Machado had an uphill battle ahead of him against Di Giacomo's bigger pair, and that climb got even steeper when the Q6J flop gave Di Giacomo a set.

Machado picked up an out when the 8 landed on the turn, but the miracle of backdoor quads didn't arrive on the K river, sending him to the rail.

Big Slick Provides for Sanchioni

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Eugenio Sanchioni moved all-in for 9,000 from under the gun and was at risk when Christophe Malaurie called from one seat to his left.

Eugenio Sanchioni: AK All in
Christophe Malaurie: AQ

There was little to sweat for Sanchioni, as the 73493 board kept his ace-king safely in the lead.

Thierry Van Der Berg
Thierry Van Der Berg

With about 14,000 in the pot, Michel Karim checked from under the gun on the 473 flop, and Thierry van den Berg bet 6,000 on the button. Karim called.

Karim check-called a second bet from Van den Berg after the 5 landed on the turn, this time for 9,800.

Both players checked the 2 river, and Van den Berg took down the pot with AK, having rivered a wheel.

Two Ladies, One Double

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Luis Sequiera raised to 2,000 from under the gun, and Andrew Hulme called in the hijack. Henrique Coutinho then moved all-in for 40,700 on the button. Sequiera put his own 23,800 at risk, but Hulme folded.

Luis Sequiera: QQ All in
Henrique Coutinho: 1010

The runout had no nasty surprises in store for Sequiera, as the 85A32 board kept his pocket queens in the lead, earning him a double-up.

Zaffagnini Fades Stanciu's Outs

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Umberto Zaffagnini
Umberto Zaffagnini

With about 8,000 in the pot on the 3810 flop, Umberto Zaffagnini, who was seated under the gun, got his 41,200 chips into the middle, with Traian Stanciu trying to bust him from the small blind.

Umberto Zaffagnini: A10 All in
Traian Stanciu: Q9

Zaffagnini had top pair, but Stanciu had plenty of outs with two cards to come.

The rest of the board came 62, keeping Zaffagnini in front and doubling him up to almost six figures.

Davenport Three-Bets and Shows One

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Matt Davenport
Matt Davenport

Borja Diaz raised to 2,100 from under the gun, which both Matt Davenport and Jan Bendik called from the button and big blind.

The action checked to Davenport on the 38Q flop, who bet 2,600. Bendik folded, but Diaz responded with a check-raise to 9,800. Davenport took his time formulating a plan before choosing to three-bet to 21,500. Diaz wasted no time waving the white flag and returning his cards to the dealer.

Before mucking his cards, Davenport flipped over the A.

Chen Exposes All

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Lin Chen
Lin Chen

Francesco Signorello limped from early position, and when it folded to Lin Chen in the big blind, Chen turned over his A8, having not spotted Signorello's limp. The floor was called, and it was deemed that the hand would continue with Chen's cards exposed for all to see.

Both players checked down the Q210Q7 runout, and when Signorello didn't immediately show his cards, Chen perked up and asked, "Do I win?"

Unsurprisingly, Chen's exposed ace-high wasn't enough to win the hand, as Signorello tabled 33 for a pair of threes to win the pot.
