Listed below are some highlights from Level 23.
Toni Kaukua checked from the big blind on the 6♥2♥Q♦ flop and faced a bet of 55,000 from Victor Angelescu on the button. Kaukua went for the most aggressive option and check-raised to 165,000. Angelescu elected to continue with a call.
The K♦ arrived on the turn, prompting Kaukua to keep firing, this time for 150,000. Angelescu once again called.
The 2♦ completed the runout and, after a few seconds, Kaukua shoved. Angelescu had the effective stack of 570,000 and was visibly distressed by the spot he found himself in.
After putting his head in his hands and exhausting the majority of his time banks, Angelescu made the call.
Kaukua showed K♥Q♥ for top two pair, winning the pot and eliminating Angelescu, who revealed A♥Q♣ for a pair of queens.
At a nearby table, Ersin Ical was eliminated.
Arnaud Enselme raised to 85,000 from the small blind and Romain Lewis defended from the big blind.
Enselme bet 65,000 on the 3♣2♠5♥ flop, and Lewis called.
The 8♥ came on the turn and Enselme fired a second barrel of 300,000. Again, Lewis called.
The 10♠ arrived on the river and Enselme unloaded the clip, firing a third barrel by putting Lewis all in for his stack of 650,000.
Before the hand, Lewis had seemingly been in a trance-like state, enjoying a soothing back massage in his own little utopia. Enselme's river shove quickly sent him into a cacotopia, leaving him agonizing over how to proceed.
With the cameras all fixed on him, Lewis burned through every single one of his nine time banks. As the clock ticked down on the last one, Lewis elected to fold, and Enselme pulled in the huge pot, leaving Lewis to wonder whether he had made the right decision.
Espen Sandvik raised the button to 50,000 and Ersin Ical defended from the big blind.
Ical started with a check on the Q♠J♥J♠ flop, and Sandvik fired a continuation-bet of 25,000. Ical instantly check-raised to 90,000, which Sandvik called.
The 10♥ joined on the turn and Ical jammed, covering Sandvik. Sandvik snap-called for his 420,000 and the cards were tabled.

Ical had flopped trips, but Sandvik turned a Broadway straight and looked likely to double up.
No help came for Ical on the 3♥ river, and Sandvik's stack climbed to over a million.
Raphael Bilger moved all-in for 60,000 in early position and was at risk when Toni Kaukua called in the big blind.

Kaukua took the lead on the 3♣4♥6♠ flop, prompting Bilger to stand up and put on his backpack. However, the J♥ turn and A♥ river saw Bilger reclaim his lead and retake his seat.
A couple of hands later, Vasyl Pidhrusnyi raised to 50,000 from under the gun, which Toni Kaukua called on the button before Bilger completed in the big blind.
On a J♣Q♣9♠ flop, Bilger moved all-in for 80,000, which both Pidhrusnyi and Kaukua called.
The 8♦ turn was checked through, but Pidhrusnyi bet 50,000 on the K♦ turn, and Kaukua folded.
Bilger tabled J♦9♥, showing a flopped two pair. However, the river had given Pidhrusnyi a better two pair, as he revealed his K♣Q♦, sending Bilger to the rail.
With the full board out showing A♣8♥J♥2♠8♠ and with about 600,000 in the pot, Paolo Boi was first to act from the big blind and opted to shove for about 365,000.
In early position, Joris Ruijs was Boi's opponent in the hand, and after thinking it through, Ruijs put in the call.
Boi instantly stood up, which was likely good news for Ruijs. It was as Boi turned over a missed straight draw with 10x9x. Ruijs tabled A♠Q♣ for a pair of aces to win the pot, increase his stack to over three million, and bust Boi.

With Simon Wiciak having tripled up in the hand prior, Hugo Soares pushed his final 25,000 across the betting line from middle position. Alexander Luciani made it 60,000 from the hijack to give him some isolation, and when it got to Wiciak in the big blind, he shoved his newly acquired 355,000 into the middle.
Luciani took his time, used a time bank, and then slammed in the call to try and score the double knockout.

Another three-way all-in, and again Wiciak was at risk, although this time he had a stronger hand with pocket nines.
The Q♣10♠3♥ flop gave Luciani some more outs with a straight draw.
The K♥ on the turn cemented Wiciak's elimination from the Main Event, as Luciani had improved to a Broadway straight.
The K♣ river didn't give Soares the chop, meaning Wiciak and Soares were gone, while Luciani's stack grew to over 1,400,000.
Just after the hand, Tiago Souza became the final elimination of this level.
Simon Wiciak jammed under the gun for 115,000 and Hugo Soares moved in over the top from the hijack for around 600,000. Mitch Garshofsky called from the big blind for his stack of 490,000, and the three players turned over their cards.

The jacks of Garshofsky stayed ahead on the 3♦3♠2♣ flop, but Wiciak took the lead when the K♦ landed on the turn.
The 3♥ river improved Wiciak to a full house, and he tripled up to stay alive. Garshofsky won the side pot against Soares, increasing his stack to around 700,000, while Soares was left with just over a big blind.
Nazar Buhaiov moved all-in from the button for 155,000 and was at risk of elimination when Gerard Carbo called in the big blind.

Carbo consolidated his lead on the 4♠2♥A♦ flop and further improved on the K♠3♦ runout to a straight, bringing Buhaiov's Main Event to an end.
