Moran Loses Final Chips; Ruijs Gets Thin Value
Daniel Moran tossed in his last 25,000 under the gun. Enrico Coppola and Jorge Abreu called in the hijack and cutoff, respectively, and Thierry Gogniat and Laurent Vauquelin did so in the blinds.
The 10♦9♠6♣ was checked by all, but Gogniat bet 20,000 on the 8♣ turn. Vauquelin mucked before Coppola's raise to 150,000 folded out the rest of the players as well.
Daniel Moran: K♦6♠
Enrico Coppola: Q♠J♥
Coppola had turned the nuts, leaving Moran drawing dead. The A♣ river was rendered meaningless as Moran had already said his goodbyes.
At another table, Casimir Seire in the small blind, Paul Runcan in the hijack, and Joris Ruijs in the cutoff checked through the 10♦2♦4♣ flop.
It once again checked to Ruijs on the 10♣ turn, prompting him to fire a bet of 80,000. Seire called before Runcan got out of the way.
The 6♣ river was quickly checked to showdown, where Ruijs' 5♠5♣ bested the 5♥4♥ of Seire.
