Day 4 Completed
After the fourth day of the 2026 PokerStars European Poker Tour Paris €5,300 Main Event, only 16 players of the 1,474 entries remain who get to divide the lion's share of the €7,075,200 prize pool. Ukraine's Nazar Buhaiov entered the tournament room inside Le Palais des Congrès today as one of the shortest stacks with only 23 big blinds to his name, but after a grind of over ten hours, he ended as the chipleader of the final 16, putting him in pole position in the hunt for the top prize of €1,148,600.
Buhaiov bagged 7,375,000 at the end of the night, good for nearly 150 big blinds at the start of Day 5. His closest contender is hometown player Thierry Gogniat. Gogniat provided back-to-back bust-outs near the end of the night, propelling him to a stack of 4,475,000, still a significant distance behind Buhaiov. Gogniat is closely followed by Dutch pro Joris Ruijs, who knocked out Joachim Meisolle to wrap up Day 4 with 4,340,000.
Jessica Teusl is the last woman standing and is fourth with a stack of 3,150,000, while the lone remaining American, Mitch Garshofsky, completes the top five with 3,140,000 in chips. Start-of-day chipleader Jorge Abreu and GRND on Tour captain Felix Schneiders can also be found in the upper half of the leaderboard, while NAPT champion Sami Bechahed (1,665,000) and online grinder Casimir Seire (1,175,000) are among the shorter stacks.

Day 4 knew plenty of casualties. Timothy Chung (49th - €19,800) came back with one big blind but lost it on the very first hand, while American regular Alex Keating (44th - €19,800) ran into Garshofsky's set at the start of the day and could not come back. EPT regulars Manuel Carvalho (31st - €26,250) and Boris Kolev (28th - €26,250) fell before the final three tables, while the final Japanese player, Tsugunari Toma, was eliminated in 22nd for €34,750.
Day 2 chipleader Bruno Fuentes and backgammon Grandmaster Zdenek Zizka fell victim to Gogniat's late-night wrath, placing 19th and 18th, respectively, for €39,950 each. Meisolle was the final elimination of Day 4, and he took home €47,250 for his 17th-place finish.
The final 16 players have locked up the same amount, although a pay jump to €56,750 is only one elimination away. The unofficial final table of nine will be reached on Day 5, meaning the eye-watering six-figure payouts are in sight for the remaining players.

Play was immediately halted after Joachim Meisolle's elimination in 17th place.
The final 16 players will return at noon local time tomorrow for the penultimate day of the EPT Paris Main Event, with 48 minutes and 24 seconds left to play in Level 26.
Joris Ruijs had opened from the cutoff when Joachim Meisolle three-bet jammed for 500,000 in the big blind. Ruijs asked for a count before quickly calling.
Joachim Meisolle: 3♦3♣
Joris Ruijs: A♥9♠
Meisolle needed a three to double up after the J♣J♦A♦ flop, but Ruijs' two pair eliminated Meisolle instead when the 4♣ turn and Q♥ river brought none.

Sami Bechahed raised to 450,000 under the gun, leaving only 115,000 behind, and Mihai Tabac called on the button. Julien Mariani then shoved in the big blind and Bechahed called for his last chips, while Tabac folded 6♦6♣.
Sami Bechahed: A♠5♠
Julien Mariani: K♠K♥
Mariani had woken up with kings with a chance to send Bechahed to the rail, but the A♣Q♥4♥ flop gave Bechahed top pair and the lead. Bechahed wandered off the feature stage as the 7♦ fell on the turn, while the J♠ completed the board on the river to give him a near-triple up.

Thierry Gogniat had raised from the cutoff when Zdenek Zizka committed his stack of 505,000 from the small blind. Gogniat quickly called to put the backgammon Grandmaster at risk.
Zdenek Zizka: A♦10♥
Thierry Gogniat: A♠K♠
Zizka did not improve on the 4♣7♠9♣3♥ flop and turn, and Gogniat secured the knockout in style by making top pair on the K♦ river.

The J♣10♥10♠ flop gave Tabac trips, and he continued for 125,000. Teusl called, and the 5♦ fell on the turn. Tabac then bet 400,000, and Teusl folded 9♣8♣.
Nazar Buhaiov then raised to 100,000 under the gun before Tabac three-bet to 325,000 in early position with 9♠9♣. Buhaiov folded Q♦10♦.
The next hand, Tabac opened to 100,000 under the gun and Buhaiov called in the big blind.
The flop came Q♦7♣6♦ and Tabac bet 90,000. Buhaiov called, then led out for 100,000 on the 3♣ turn. Tabac called, and they checked down the 9♥ river.
Buhaiov showed 10♥6♣, but Tabac had Q♠9♠ for two pair to win his third hand in a row.

Thierry Gogniat raised to 125,000 on the button before Bruno Fuentes three-bet to 525,000 in the big blind. Gogniat moved all in, and Fuentes took a peek at what was happening on the other outer table before calling for his last 70,000.
Bruno Fuentes: A♦K♦
Thierry Gogniat: A♥A♠
Fuentes let out a loud cry when he found out he had run right into Gogniat's aces. The J♥J♠6♣8♠6♦ board offered him no hope, and Fuentes was sent to the rail in 19th place.
