140 Players Remaining on Day 1B

We're halfway through Level 7 and playing down to the end of Level 10, so there will be plenty more casualties tonight. Tony Chessa is now at the bar. Robert Ford and Voitto Rintalla are reported to be missing.

There hasn't been much change with the chipleaders but something has got to give soon. I spent the last half hour trying to catch sight of a big pot developing, but the play has gotten extremely conservative.

David Travernier 14,000
Markus Golsen 50,000+
Roland De Wolfe 40,000+
Frank Callaghan 9,000 (and struggling)
Mickey Wernick 33,000
Noah Boeken 10,000 (and now looks completely disinterested)

Mickey and Ronnie Show Them How It's Done

The young man pictured here is Ronnie Gustafsson, who is currently sitting on about 40K and is putting on a bit of a master class. Keep an eye on this one as we get deeper and deeper into Day 1B.

Just over the way, Mickey Wernick has gone from survivor to genuine contender, having turned his short stack into a commanding $36,000, which he managed to create by getting a set of sevens paid off.

Milkybarkid doubles up

According to ben Grundy he's rebought about 5 times. I assume this means he's been all in a lot. When I arrived at his table he was all in with {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades} after the flop and had the nut straight. He's back to his starting stack of 10,000

Also....
Markus Golsen 40,000
Noah Boeken 12,000 and looks fast asleep
David Travernier (right, Frenchman who was second to De Wolfe at Dublin EPT) 11,000
Roland De Wolfe 35,000+ and fluctuating as usual
Miroslav Sima 45,000
Juha Helppi 20,000
Sebastian Ruthenberg 40,000 and the leading German
Frank Callaghan 12,000 and appears to be the last remaining Irishman.

A Royal Flush is Good, Right?

Christer Johansson just flopped a royal flush, eliminating Paul Purstinger in the process, who only had a couple of big blinds to his name. When Christer turned over his {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} to reveal the ultimate nuts the rest of the table just stared blankly like he'd turned over a pair of sevens.

Come on guys, it's a royal flush; there should have been a round of drinks at the table and balloons and some sort of hoopla.

Oh, well, I guess the sixth hour of Day 1B is starting to get to everyone.

Chipcounts and Bustouts

Tobias Holmeider 60,000+
William Thorssen 2,200 (and about to call his taxi)
Miroslav Sima 30,000+
Tony Chessa 4,500
Markus Golsen 34,000

Rob Hollink OUT
Paul Testud OUT
Roy Brindley and Jani Vilmunen are also missing.

Mickey Wernick got a double-up when making a big call for all his chips with trip sevens, when there were four to a straight on the board in a battle of the blinds. He had his opponent out-kicked, with {K-Hearts}{7-Hearts} vs. {7-Clubs}{8-Spades}.
