The New Season Has Started, Brought To You By…

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

The end of this first Season 11 festival is in sight, the conclusion of what has been a record breaking EPT100. The Tour has evolved massively in the past ten years, not least in terms of sponsorship, which seemed unthinkable back in the early days of the tour. But it’s now a common sight at EPTs with major brands from both within the industry and without, joining forces with the Tour, as the PokerStars Blog reports: http://psta.rs/1qqZskr.

Szecsi Eliminated, Pollak Almost Triples

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Norbert Szecsi shoved all in for 89,000 under the gun plus one, and Benjamin Pollak on the button re shoved for 134,000. Yves Boschetti in the small blind announced all in as well, and the big blind folded.

Norbert Szecsi: {A-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Benjamin Pollak: {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
Yves Boschetti: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}

The {10-Spades}{K-Spades}{9-Diamonds} on the flop was a good one for Pollak, but he wasn't save yet. After the {4-Clubs} hit the turn, Szecsi was officially drawing dead, but Boscheti could still spoil Pollak's party with a river jack. The river was the {4-Hearts} and Pollak almost trippled as the break started. Norbert Szecsi was out and had an extended break for as long as he wanted.

Deeb Doubles

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Shaun Deeb shoved into Fedor Holz's {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}. Holz wasn;t going to lay that big hand down for 79,000, and Deeb was in trouble with his {A-Hearts}{7-Clubs}.

The board would save Deeb's tournament life though; {2-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}, and he doubled to 175,000 in chips.

Timothy Adams Paid €50,000 For His First EPT Event

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Canadian high-stakes player Timothy Adams tells us how his first ever EPT event was the €50,000 Super High Roller in Barcelona. The story behind this event is quite amazing, as Adams bluffed away all his chips on the feature table against pocket kings.
