Neumann Calls Shove, Busts Chaparro

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Marko Neumann
Marko Neumann

Marko Neumann had bet 22,000 on the turn of a board reading {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{10-Spades}{4-Spades} and Miguel Chaparro jammed it all in over the top for 160,000. Neumann sat puzzling it out for a minute before making the call.

Chaparro had shoved with {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and Neumann had him out pipped with {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}. The river card {7-Diamonds} was no help and Chaparro was out the door.

Polish On Polish Action

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Patryk Poterek and Grzegorz Derkowski got their chips in before the flop, with Poterek being a whole ton shorter than his countryman. Poterek was at risk holding {K-Spades}{Q-Spades} and was dominated by Derkowski's {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}.

The {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop wasn't good for Poterek, and the {7-Diamonds} on the turn sealed the deal. The {4-Spades} on the river was there just for good measures, and Poterek was escorted to the pay out desk.

Finger Loses Flip Shock

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Martin Finger
Martin Finger

It was checked to Martin Finger on a flop of {k-Spades}{j-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and a bet from him of 14,000 took the pot. He indicated that he had it and mentioned folding a previous hand where he had top pair. His neighbour said it must be nice and Finger did not demur.

Finger opened the next hand for 11,000 and called a 58,000 shove from Knut Hatle. Finger had {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} and Knut needed to hit with {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}. Finger asked jokingly if Knut wanted to take his bet back and chop it up but Knut said he was happy to bust as he wanted to watch Barcelona play football.

The board ran out {5-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{a-Spades}. The football would have to wait for Knut as for once the Finger magic deserted him.

Sveva Libralesso
Sveva Libralesso

Sveva Libralesso is one of two women left standing (the other is Karin Bruteig) , and she has just gathered some more chips.

She called Barrie Pietersz with {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, and was up against {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}.

The board didn't make things exciting with {3-Hearts}{5-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{K-Clubs} and Pietersz made his exit.
