Kitai Continues To Chip Up

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Davidi Kitai
Davidi Kitai

After Yoni Izhak checked the {10-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop, Davidi Kitai bet 18,000. Izhak called, and the turn was the {9-Spades}. Izhak checked, Kitai bet 33,000, and Izhak called again.

The river was the {Q-Diamonds}, and both players checked.

Kitai showed the {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for a pair of tens and that beat Izhak's {A-Spades}{5-Hearts} to give the former European Poker Tour champion the pot.

On the next hand, Kitai opened from early position to 12,000. Bulgaria's Nikolay Tsanev called out of the big blind and then check-folded to a continuation bet of 18,000 on the {A-Spades}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop.

Misztela Survives

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

A double up for Przemyslaw Misztela (a name worth a whole lot of points in scrabble), he squeezed all in with {A-Hearts}{5-Hearts} but found Maksim Semisoshenko calling with {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. Misztela looked down and out until the river of an {8-Spades}{6-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Hearts}{4-Clubs} board.

Sylvain Loosli Eliminated

"All in and call!" shouted the dealer on table one. Before we had the chance to maneuver our ways over there, 2013 November Niner Sylvain Loosli was already up from the table and getting escorted out.

One of his former table mates told us that Pedro Marques had opened with queens, and Sylvain Loosli had shoved his remaining 24 big blinds with pocket nines. Marques had made the call, and his hand had held up.

Neumann Gives Up

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Marko Neumann bet 18,000 from the big blind on an {8-Clubs}{5-Spades}{9-Diamonds} flop, and Kiryl Radzivonau made the call from early position. Radzivonau called the 36,000 bet that Neumann slid forward on the {8-Spades} as well.

The river came the {9-Spades}, double pairing the board, and Neumann checked. Radzivonau put a bet of 70,000 out there, and Neumann didn't waste much time before folding.

Doing the Double, Going for Triple

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Scott Seiver
Scott Seiver

Last year, David Benefield and Ole Schemion final tabled the €50,000 Super High Roller, cashed the €5,300 Main Event, and final tabled the €10,300 High Roller at European Poker Tour Barcelona.

This year, Dan Shak has completed two of the same three legs after placing eighth in the Super High Roller and 129th in the Main Event, and so has Scott Seiver. While Shak may have busted, Seiver is still alive in the Main Event following a fourth-place finish in the Super High Roller.

Ryan Fee also cashed the Super High Roller and is alive in the Main Event, but he didn't final table the Super High Roller — he placed 11th.

With the High Roller still to come tomorrow, Seiver and Shak could pull the same triple that Benefield and Schemion did last year, but Seiver won't be ditching his Main Event efforts just to chase that accomplishment. Instead, he'll be gunning for the €1,261,000 top prize in the Main Event.

You're Going to Hear Me Rohr

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Jean-Philippe Rohr raised to 17,000 preflop in the cutoff, Andres Federico Jeckeln made it 45,000 on the button. Rohr shoved for a sizeable amount and Jeckeln instantly called.

Rohr: {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}
Jeckeln: {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}

The board came {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} offering no help to Rohr who was knocked out.

Heitmann Picks Off Lamarca's Bluff

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

With the total board of {K-Spades}{9-Hearts}{2-Spades}{J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} already out on the table, Heitmann was forcing a raise. The German Team Pro had bet out 35,000 from the big blind, and Jose Lamarca had raised to 85,000 from the button.

Heitmann took his time, but made the call eventually. Lamarca tapped the table, indicating that he was caught bluffing, and showed {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs}. Heitmann showed {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and took it down.

Timex Doubles Up and Then Some

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Mike McDonald
Mike McDonald

Mike McDonald was all in and in trouble with {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs} against Hossein Ensan's {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}.

The {10-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} flop teased McDonald with a gutshot but the {J-Diamonds} was without doubt the most entertaining card in the deck. It made McDonald the nut straight but gave Ensan a flush draw and a gutshot to a bigger straight. The river was the {3-Hearts} and McDonald doubled up.

Barely a couple of hands later and the two got into another raising war, McDonald five-betting all in and Ensan snap-folding as a result.
