Hands #48-52: Phillips Keeps Up Pressure

Level 33 : 100,000/200,000, 25,000 ante

Hand #48: Kiryl Radzivonau was in first position with {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and opened for 400,000. Samuel Phillips in the small blind with {4-Spades}{2-Spades} made it 925,000 and with the big blind out of the way Radzivonau threw it away.

Hand #49: Phillips made it 400,000 from the button with {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and Radzivonau called in the big blind with {a-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}. They saw a flop of {9-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Radzivonau check-called a bet of 425,000. The turn {q-Spades} was checked and on the river {j-Hearts} both players checked and Phillips was good.

Hand #50: Phillips in the cut-off made it 400,000 with {4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and took the antes and blinds.

Hand #51: Andrey Shatilov opened for 400,000 in early position with {a-Spades}{10-Spades} and Phillips called with {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Hossein Ensan called with {6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}. The flop was {3-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and it was checked around to Phillips who bet 550,000. Ensan check-raised to 1,275,000 which seemed momentarily to confuse Shatilov who had top pair, top kicker but he moved all in and took it down.

Hand #52: Ji Zhang had {q-Hearts}{q-Spades} and moved all in. It was the third time he had that hand today but he didn’t get any action this time. Zhang showed the table his hand.
